Shooting as vigilante but changing your mind

Postby Sexypancake » Sun Apr 14, 2019 10:34 pm

Hi everyone first time posting on the forums so I don't know how to post a bug....

Anyway was playing a ranked game as vigilante:
-Decided to shoot someone during the night.
-Canceled my action before the end of the night (atleast 5 seconds before the end, I would say between 5-7 seconds).
-Got the ''You changed your mind''' text BEFORE the end of the night.
-Learned on the next night that I killed a town and died of guilt.

I asked other people if I missed something and 1 say it was maybe lag but I rarely lag (factual information I know) and when I do I notice it...

I took pictures of the ingame text incase the team need more info (on my cellphone atm, I need to plug it).

The "changed mind"-message is triggered client side, so it will come up right after you click the button, not when the action reaches the server. In that comparison, I believe you fell victim of something called "latency", making your decision to not shoot not reach the server in time.

I tend to write small stories into my will and dislike Forgers and Janitors for removing them.

If you see a Grim Reaper called 'Zoroark', know that you might have encountered me.

Is there anything I can do on my side to not have that kind of issue again?

Basically the only thing you can do is to not change your mind in at least the last 5 seconds.
