Please don't abuse the report button in the FM section. If you feel someone is breaking a rule - go to a FM Mod. That's what we are here for.
If there is a screamer posting obscene messages - then yes report it to the GMods.
But I feel some of you are hitting the report button when you should be sending your FM Mod a PM.
The GMods tell us about reports sent to them about FM and it's just more of a hassle for the GMods.

Game Moderator Message: All right guys. After a little bit of discussion and me nudging the other Mods for opinions, I have decided that it is time that the CFM voting process change. Most of you guys seem to want people to be required to give feedback on pitches.

How will it change?

1. When CFM 10 starts, everyone's polls will be wiped away. We are getting rid of polls completely. I feel this needs to be an "all or nothing" approach. Gradually changing the system would just be confusing.
2. Everyone who votes will be required to give SOME sort of feedback. I am not going to be overly strict on the feedback you give, but it needs to be something like "I like this pitch BECAUSE blah blah blah."
3. You may not directly Copy/paste someone elses feedback. If you have the same opinion as someone else, put it in your own words.
4. Troll posts/votes will be deleted. You will be warned the first time you do it. If you do it again, the mods will discuss further punishment.
5. Votes will need to be bolded, such as in FM games.
6. Anyone who wishes to have an anonymous vote/feedback can send me a PM with their vote and feedback and I will post it in the thread as "anonymous."
7. You may not badger people to change their votes.
8. I will be keeping track of votes until FMBot is in a place where it can do multiple things at once. This might take a while. Please be patient with me, I will try to update the votes every day, if I can.

I apologize to those who have a ton of votes right now, but this is the only way we can change the system properly, without any confusion or favoring.
You have until CFM10 starts and then the voting process will change.

If this voting process does not work out, well, we tried. We can always try something else or go back to the old system. But I'd like to actually move forward and try something rather than sitting on our butts. Nothing is going to be the "Perfect system." Please remember that.

Game Moderator Message: As you might've already seen, we've changed the "Game Rules" around a bit. It is a simpler, cleaner version of Guzames rules before. No new rules have been added, they are just simplified down and easier to read.

Reminder: For those that have CFM Pitches using the standard rules: You'll need to replace out your old link with this new one.

Same goes for game moderators currently using the old rules link.

Game Moderator Message: Hey all.

After talking with the other Mods, I believe that we have let a lot of disruptive behavior in games slide in the past when we shouldn't have. By me personally and some of the other Mods. I apologize for this personally.

From now on, you may see us FM Mods cracking down more on disruptive behavior during games and giving more warnings. This disruptive behavior could be anything that well...disrupts the game. It will be a case-by-case basis and not black and white. I trust my mods and their ability to judge what this behavior is.
But, if you want to appeal a warning and have another mod look at it, that is fine too. If that Mod disagrees with the decision made, then it can be brought up with the all of the mods in discussion.

Game Moderator Message: Regarding the people previously charged with gamethrowing/cheating. They were blacklisted for 4 months. That 4 months is up today and they can now re-join games again if they wish to. However, they may not play in the same games as each other, until further notice.

Just wanted to give you a heads up in case you see any of them signing up for games. Do not harass them about their blacklist, please.

Game Moderator Message: The other FM Mods and I have decided on the new Episode changes. These changes will start for Episode 8.

1. If you played in the last Episode, you may not join the next Episode. [This rule won't be enforced until after Episode 8, so it will be fair]

2. You must have played in 3 COMPLETE FM games to be able to join an Episode. This includes regular FM Games/CFM games/SFM games. TFM games will not count.
Completed means: You have played the whole game without replacing out. If you replace into a game and complete it, depending on when you replaced into the game will determine if it will count as a full game or a half game. I won't be overly strict, but if you've played in a significant amount of the game, you will get the full game credit. If you've only played in the last day of the game, you will get a half game credit. Send me a PM if you want a direct answer to one of your games.

3. Episodes will be run every 3 months from when the last Episode ended. It will not be on the dot, but it will be around every 3 months.

Episode 7 ended on August 1st. Episode 8 will be run around November 1st.

I will add these to the rules so no one gets confused. If you have questions, send me a PM. Thanks!

So we're changing the inactivity rules slightly again. These:

17. If a player is in two games and replaces out of one, they must complete the other before joining another game.
18. If a player replaces out of both games, they must wait two weeks before joining another game.
19. If a player replaces out of one game, they must wait one week before joining another game.

will be replaced with one catch-all rule, since we realized having three rules to prevent people from leaving a game to join an upcoming game is more complicated than it needs to be. The new rule is as follows:

17. If you replace out of any game, you must wait two weeks before joining another game, to prevent people from leaving one game because they know another is coming.

As you can see I posted a new Pitch Karma Tracker in thread form instead of Spreadsheet form.
Scraf seems to have poofed from the forums and I have had trouble updating the Spreadsheet version, so I created this version.

I will try to update it once every week/two weeks as best as I can. The other FM Mods may update it too, if they wish.

Mystery FM will be proceeding. I will be helping Dork run the game for CFM 9.

If there is a pitch in the "Closed Pitches" section that you would like to take over, you may do so ONLY with the Pitch owners permission.

Once you have their permission, I will send you the O.P and you will need to post a brand new pitch yourself. Votes will be wiped.

Lawyer

You are a Lawyer

Your alignment is Town Power

Celebrated around the county as a true defender of justice, you were widely known for your ability to see fair verdicts to the end.
It is now time you realize that your power is exactly what the town needs to see the right people punished.

During the day you may select a player, that night the player then can optionally write a 1000 character affidavit which will be sent to you. You may hold on to the affidavit yourself or submit it to the town and it will be posted completely anonymously.
You may also pm your moderator during the day to start a trial, when a majority is reached on a player it will be announced that you have entered the gallows and a trial has begun.
During a trial you can communicate with the town anonymously via two 1000 character limit messages for your opening/closing arguments.
Within 24 hours, the players must send a vote of /Guilty or /Not Guilty to the Game Moderator.
Your vote counts as three in trials.
At the end of the Trial, regardless of the verdict, the Day Phase will end.
During your trials, you may also swap defendants, or force a verdict. You may only do each of these once and they can be used together.
You may do this only three times. You can also perform this power on yourself.
The only exception is the lynch of a Jester, this will cause your trial to fail, swapping defendants to a Jester will force them to haunt the Lawyer the next night.
Players may not whisper during trials.

Marshal

Each night you may choose to follow a player. Your presence scares one malicious person from targeting them.
You will only be informed if you scare away a role who had killing intentions.
Should your target be visited by multiple people with malicious intent, only one will flee. (Mafia Deception > Witch/Escort/Consort > Killing Roles)
Roles that use charges will still consume them upon being frightened off.

You need to inform the Mod in charge of your alt in the game. If you do not do this and we figure out this is you, further action will be taken.

Alts are perfectly fine for you to use, just inform the Mod of the game that this is alt is you.

Game Moderator Message: Recently there has been some confusion with what players are eligible for TFM games. TFM games are meant for players who are not in any other FM game whatsoever (this includes CFM, SFM, etc.).

There have been several players who have joined a TFM while already in an FM game, including our own moderator Invenio. Because of the confusion, we'll allow these players to play through the games they are already in, but we would ask that TFM games be left for players who are not in any other FM games in the future (except for Invenio - he has been permabanned from Forum Mafia )

Even if you are in the same Skype chat as someone and are talking about it, not directly to them. It is against the rules. You're giving them information, even if not meaning to, that should be said in the game.

If you are a player in the game and want to rant to someone about the game that isn't in the game, that is perfectly fine with me as long as that person doesn't plan on replacing into the game.

If two players are not in the game and want to discuss the game, that is perfectly fine with me.

Game Moderator Message: I feel the need to address this as it's been more occurring lately. There has been a troll on the forum that keeps creating Alternate accounts. Some have posted in FM games going on and some of them have tried to join games. If someone that is not in your game is posting in it, report it immediately. Don't engage this person, don't even give them the time of day. If attention is what this person seeks, let's not give it to them. Anyone who would attempt to ruin a FM game like that is no friend to me. The GMods are doing everything they can to stop this person and we as FM Mods will do the same.

I also want to take the time to thank the FM community for being amazing.
