FM 6D - Mafia and Survivor Win! - "Groundhog Day"

Rules:

1. Be respectful. This is meant to be a fun game, so please don't insult or harass other members for any reason.

2. Please do not spam. This is a discussion based game, so it's expected it will be moving quickly at times, but remember that not everyone is always on. It can be difficult to keep up with and spam only makes it worse. Just keep this in mind as you play.

3. Do not gamethrow. This covers any action which goes against your role's goals, with the exception of when it is impossible for you to win. If you have any questions about this (now or during the game), please PM me. Breaking this rule can result in blacklisting from future games.

4. I will give a prod to players who do not post for 36 hours. Players will be given 18 hours to respond by posting in the thread. Not responding to a prod or recieving a second prod means removal from the game. I also expect everyone to post at least once Day 1; anyone who doesn't should PM me during the first 12 hours of night (I'll put a reminder in the day end post) or they will be prodded.

5. Whispers, Death Notes, Last Wills, and Night Actions should all be sent to me with appropriate subjects. They also should be sent in separate PMs. I won't be searching your "Last Will" PM for night actions, for example.

6. Each player gets 4 whispers a day. Each whisper has a hard character limit of 200 characters. I'm going to be strict about it. If you would like to send more than 200 characters, you may ask to use additional whispers. I'll be using this site to check character limits. Make sure to include the recipient of your whisper; it will be posted publicly in the thread once it's been sent.

7. Don't forget about Guzame's Rules here. If you notice someone breaking the rules, please link the offending post(s) with an explanation in a PM to me. I don't anticipate this being a problem, but better safe than sorry.

8. Flavor text is from the perspective of the players. It should not be used to deduce anything about the role list or a given player's role.

9. Finally, this is not an official episode. No titles will be awarded to the victors.

You are a Marshal

Your alignment is Town Protective.

Once a figurehead of the law, you experienced a horrific accident and have vowed not to kill anymore. Instead you decide to use your presence as a deterrent to these thugs that have rooted themselves in your hometown.

You may choose to follow one player each night. Your presence scares one malicious person from targeting them.
You will not be informed if you protected your target, but whoever you scare away will be notified.
Should your target be visited by multiple people with malicious intent, only one will flee. (Mafia Deception > Escort/Consort > Killing Roles)
Stalkers and Serial Killers will ignore your presence.

It was a quiet morning, with birds chirping and a peaceful feeling settled over the town. It was bright and sunny as the residents of Salem awoke, many preparing to go about their daily lives.

A scream silenced the noises of Salem, the only sounds heard in the town the scuffles of its residents rushing to the source. In the town square a body was found with the insignia of the Mafia inscribed on it, leaving the town alarmed and worried as the peaceful feeling from the morning fled. The Mafia was back and it was up to the townsfolk to eradicate the intruders.

Hello all! ^_^ Was out in town but saw the day started, doing this phone post intro for now. I see some familiar faces and some new ones I've never played with before.

Here's my day one disclaimer, from Mon-Fri I'll be busy and likely not available from 0500-1600 CST (UTC -6). Will something have work extended into the evening depending if I'm on call or not. That being said I plan on being active when I can :3 I can phone post when I'm busy but don't expect much of it.

Soft claiming actually can really hurt town. If you are going to claim, hard claim. We don't want to waste resources on outed members when they had no business doing it in the first place. Soft claiming something like Vigilante is going to be a huge pain in town's hind if there's a Witch, understand?

Oh yeah, we have a random neutral and a neutral benign so we could have one, maybe.

With all the random and therefore uncertain roles in the list, I don't think roleclaiming is a viable option unless someone happens to be a survivor. There's also the slim chance we have two survivor, but I don't think that's too likely. We might not even have one.

I just hope I can actually get a win this time, but it'll be a fun game when we don't even know the entire role list since some are random.

I never treat day one that seriously, any softclaims today I'll jot in my notes (yay for notepad++) but I'll usually treat them with a grain of salt.
