Feels more like a new game than a role change at this point especially considering Town of Bert. Not really sure how or why BMG would make Werewolf into a Town or NB role and enable Vampires to get rid of the Necronomicon.

The fact that they made a joke about making a new game increases the likelihood that they're actually making a new game. It shows that they're thinking about the idea of a new game. I doubt the devs would make an April Fools joke about a huge change that most people in the community would be super excited about and then give us something small that nobody cares about.

The longer this goes on and the more that get's revealed, I'm leaning more and more on a new Town of Salem game, like it would still be the same deception type of game, but done differently.

so it seems to me like the "inhabitants" of salem are tentatively coexisting... until something treacherous happened. And whatever this is focuses on that treachery, like a whodunnit

looking at remaining silhouttes it seems to be witch, plaguebearer, coven leader? and then some wizard. No mafia, meaning that this is either a large edition to the game, like the Coven expansion... or something else. Something that leans more on the game's supernatural elements than the Mafia minority v majority type thing. Could be a 1-night. Could be some other form of pvp. But separate from base ToS- lack of mafia seems pretty important, no?

we're probably not gonna get it right and anyone who does didn't really figure it out, they just got lucky
