Password Change Required

So I was going to login to Town of Salem on mobile today and went to sign in. Upon typing in my login information which was correct a popup appeared saying "Password change required." MY account is connected to a steam account. I was wondering why I was seeing this popup? Also what would happen if I changed the password.

Hi. For steam users, if you click "Login with Steam" it will skip the password authentication steps, and log you in the game. Logging in through other means will show you that prompt message. You're seeing this popup because you have not updated your password for some time now due to the breach.

Changing your password will not pop up "password change required" message anymore, and of course will make your account much more safer.

that doesn't work.... "this email is not connected"
