No, it isn't fair, but I hope you reported that user for saying 'niba'.

It's a valid tactic, but it can be costly, so it's stupid to really risk that.

It's more or less metagaming. I don't personally like it myself, it causes more misexecutions than correct ones.

I wouldn't call it MGing. It's a legitimate tactic that mainly places pressure on your captives to make a claim. It does catch bad Mafia who crack at the pressure.

It's not the best because good Mafia come prepared; and at a certain level it punishes slow typers.

Jailors who do the obnoxious countdown thing are not very good.
You have the entire night to talk to the jailor for a reason.

Slow typers or slow brained? Most of the time when I metagame the person jailed always acts stupid and doesn't know what I mean regardless of alignment.

It places pressure on the jailed person, townies would claim instantly during N1 whilst evils wouldn't expect to be jailed so would have nothing to claim and therefore force them to say any role without thinking of how it will affect the rest of the game.

Even if there is no countdown, they have the same pressure because they know claiming late will be sus af. Also, those 3 seconds make no difference with the predictions: the mafia still won't know how their claim will affect the game.
I'm not saying this strategy is bad though. I think claiming late is a valid reason to execute someone, although I wouldn't do it.

edit: Also, what is typing slow supposed to do with anything? You only have to type up to 4 or 5 letters in 3 seconds. People can't be that slow.

Just the very nature of being jailed is enough to place pressure on the player.
Why would evils not expect to be jailed? Any player in the game can be jailed at any time.

He probably meant the odds of being jailed are pretty low in earlygame, I guess?

When has anyone said to themselves “Yeah imma get jailed N1/N2? Probability says you are very unlikely to get jailed until you actually are. Start of N1 if you seriously already figured out a role to claim then cool. If you haven’t which the majority of players don’t, they normally spit out a random claim without thinking of the consequences for claiming that role in lategame.

No. The objective of evils is to keep town guessing and stall them long enough to gain the advantage. A random claim does not have to hold them all game, so they don't have to consider late game consequences.

Sparking is right. You shouldn't claim randomly. What you claim n1/n2 depends on many factors, what is your role, what is your plan for the game, what is Mafia setup, how good evil you are, how good are your teammates, is this Jailor meta, how many people was killed N1, did Town mislynched D2, etc. It of course require practice to know if you should claim Sheriff or Mayor.

okay this post again proves that ToS community plays the game where it must require reading skills yet you all failed it really hard

he LITERALLY exed someone because they failed to copy-past will under 3 fucking seconds. the whole thing takes 5 seconds + it depends if their full will was not enough for the chat so they might post n4-nx actions...

like you exe someone cuz they were busy copying long ass(like literally had 5 visitors in some point of the night) lookout LEGIT will under 1 second? or because they didnt claim for 15 seconds and only said hi?

EVEN if its that the case (and then you are actually retarded)...the guy who posted a screenshot made it under 3 seconds quite fine and spy will should have the part whether hes alive or dead...BUT jailor clearly stated "sorry niba (lmfao imagine using niba in the end of this decant cant relate) you were late for some dumbass metagame trick so im exeing you no matter of your will and how you behaved yourself via game"

bitches please....either learn how to read or buy glasses ty
RIP Town of Salem 2017-2018

You will not be remembered
