The last few times there were steam updates, to include the one that just happened ( 05 Nov 2019, approx 1508 ( 3:08 pm est ) ), I was disconnected with the message steam needs to retart to apply update.
So anyone playing through steam and getting DC'd while playing ToS During a steam update. this needs to be fixed!

Turn off the function for Steam to download whilst playing.

Are you talking of a general Steam update or an update of the game itself?
Either way its a Steam issue, not an issue of the ToS client.
