How I survive as Mayor

As Mayor, I fake vet bait so I don't get killed.
I never explicitly say I am veteran or vet baiting, just in case there is a real veteran.

I don't reveal until needed, pushed for a role, called out as fake veteran.

It's won me a lot of games

I just say I am Mayor and ask for TP/LO, unless there's Jailor, in which case I just ask them to jail me and I reveal when there is a slowvote or when I know TP is BG.

i just claim survivor, and stay hidden until end game. Usually works unless its a WW game. Ive mayor clutched about 10 wins with it, and only been abused by town once, when an investi checked me, and I wouldnt whisper him my role cos it was a BMer game

The problem with this strategy isn't that you'll get lynched, as a reveal can save you from that.
The problem is that Vigilantes commonly shoot Survivors to prove themselves. Consiglieres often check Survivor claims to make sure that they are, indeed, Survivors. This combined adds up to a method that could backfire horribly for the Town.
My preferred strategy is to claim Medium. The Vigilante will have less of a reason to shoot you as you didn't claim a Non-Town role, and the Mafia will likely ignore you as Mediums are most of the time, useless. Sure, you could be shot, but the chance is way lower.

Just claim D2 is my strat unless tp is dead N1, after collecting whisper roles from as many people as possible, sure it makes people suspicious, but if people call you out for it and attempt a lynch, you reveal. Easy, transporters are your best friend too.
