Revert to the old role list please!

This one is far from the concept uninformed majority/ informed minority...its i formed equally big sides 9vs6 easily turns into 7vs6 and rip voting phase...game relies too much on town's night actions jailor/tk/tp rather than dayphase...and you wonder why so many leavers...

zzjay, if people had a problem with the rolelist, they wouldn't leave. They just wouldn't play. Leavers are people who dislike playing as their role, that's pretty much it.

The old list was 8v7, meaning 6v7 on Day 2 with a mafia kill and an NK. What we need is a solid 10v5 list.

The next thing is to buff the NKs

What I mean is that killing roles are strongest and a lot of players who get escort but wanna play SK will afk or leave. That does mean killing roles are favorited by most as they are the funniest + you can carry game actually.

Example of powerful no-killing role:
- sheriff
- investigator

Example of weak no-killing role:
- escort
- spy
- retributionist
- bodyguard



My other sugestion is to create ranked solo + ranked teams modes because there are people are abusing rankeds (not only rankeds but these are most important) by playing with friends on skype or even using multi accounts on different browsers in the same time.

Why do you consider ret to be a weak role? It's the most overpowered role in the game. It can confirm at least 2 townies(the ret, the revived player, and any mediums), makes fakeclaim medium as evil impossible, and sets evils back an entire day

Changes I really think we need to see in Coven Ranked:

-Coven Leader should not be able to control the actions of a neutral killing, just as they cannot control the actions of a transporter.

----Reason this change would be useful: The neutral killing becomes the coven's puppet soon as the coven leader finds them. Furthermore, while this change may seem to mostly benefit the neutral killing, it will prevent controlled sk's from killing medusa n1 or controlled arsonist being lost already so coven are the only evils town has to worry about.

-Neutral Evil replaced with Random Neutral

-Reason for this change: The fact that there's a guaranteed Jester or Executioner in every single game makes the game less of a challenge than it is meant to be. In regular ranked, at least there are three possible neutral evils, but for obvious reasons Witch would not work in Coven. But this change would open up possibilities to all kinds of roles: Guardian Angel, Survivor, Amnesiac, Vampire, Plaguebearer, Pirate. I realize that with Chaos modes such as Lover's and VIP, some of these roles come up, and Mafia Returns has a couple as well.

But Survivor, Vampire, and Vampire Hunter are currently throwaway roles on the site only possible in Rainbow or All/Any, and Custom.

Furthermore, if the Random Neutral happens to be a second serial killer, it's much more likely for a serial killer to possibly win than the current rolelist allows. And it would create more confusion for evils, over up more claims, etc.

As neutral killing on the old ranked list, I was always happiest when the "Any" slot was also serial killer or arsonist with me.

Pirate is a swingy mess that should only be in Chaos/Custom, and most people would say the same about Vampires. Vampire Hunter is an unfair and unbalanced hardcounter role that shouldn't exist, just let Sheriff find Vampires. All other TI can. The NB generally doesn't have a good effect on Ranked - Amne almost always goes Town because Town is most likely to die N1 and remembering N2 is the best idea for Amne, Survivors don't have a very profound impact on the game and are either hunted or end up serving as kingmakers who vote only the way they want to, and GA is just a bad role in general. Heal target N1, claim D2, forget about their target and wait to become a Survivor. Plaguebearer isn't what I'd call balanced, but some people have said it could be an NK which I wouldn't quite have a problem with, it doesn't seem quite right for a Neutral Chaos role. Vampire and Pirate are perfect Neutral Chaos roles, made for fun and chaos but not necessarily balanced or skillful in the slightest. Or just hated to the point where they should be removed.

Yes ~ it's been tested and proven better in TG. It's also unanimously accepted.
It's not really a problem with the Hypnotist available.

The main issue is that the Hypnotist needs to be put in the base game. It's too important to limit to Coven.
Please put the Witch in Coven mode. I miss it. :-(

I'm all for either making Transporter silent or putting Hypnotist into base game - moreso Hypnotist but Trans nerf at the very least. Ambusher, if too many people don't disagree for balance reasons, should probably go to base ToS too. Most people don't buy Coven to play two new Mafia roles rather than the many new roles for the new faction.

Kiki, no, it's pretty obvious when an actual Transporter is doing it, and when it isn't one. As only one player can be hypnotized at a time. Generally, two players are transported.

Usually the Hypnotist claims transporter and says they were transporting themselves with other people - it's very common for transporters to always transport themselves.

(Another Mafia member could claim transported instead, but having the Hypno claim it is best because it avoids potentially exposing a second Mafia if the Hypnotist gets caught.)

While it could get the other Mafia caught, it might seem more believable. If you do try it though and get caught, the person hypnotized could be accused of being Mafia themselves, but it's still a huge risk.

Anyway, one thing I really want:

Buff the Framer. It sucks and is unfun to play, especially in Coven mode. It only affects two roles (Sheriff and Investigator), only if you happen to pick the same target as them, and is only meaningful if your target wasn't already a Coven / WW. Investigators are also far weaker now that the Invest list has been rebalanced and both Hex Masters and Arsonists ruin investigative results, which makes framing even less useful.

At a bare minimum, make it so Framer visits aren't shown to the Spy. Having them shown to the Spy makes the role actively counterproductive - when you try to frame someone, you might make a Sheriff or Investigator suspect them (although Invests will know to be suspicious of that result), but you will always tell any Spies present that they're not Mafia, and said Spy can immediately reveal to ruin your frame-up even if you manage to fool a Sheriff or Investigator. Often there simply won't be a Sheriff or Invest at all, though, and your role will be useless (or, if there's a Spy present, actively hurting the Mafia every time you visit, to no benefit whatsoever.)

I also like the idea of making it so anyone you frame appears to be a Framer in the graveyard if they die that night and weren't killed by the Mafioso / GF, or if they're lynched the next day - this gives the Framer a functionality that isn't dependent on other roles being present.

Another idea was to make it so anyone you frame appears to visit the same target as the Mafioso / GF for Lookouts / Trackers, and making it so they're counted as evil for Psychic purposes - so the Framer fools every investigative and not just two of them. And maybe make it so the Framer conceals all non-obvious (that is, not killer or Forger) Mafia visits to their target from the Spy, so repeatedly framing someone will make the Spy think they could be evil.

There's probably other options, too. But basically, the Framer needs a rework. Having a Mafia role devoted solely to fooling two other roles, with no other purpose, and having the Spy automatically informed that whoever they framed is not Mafia? It's silly and makes the role unfun to play.

Can we have something to highlight our own speech in-game?

I love playing and all, but sometimes even I have to really go back and look at what I said because it blends in with all of the other white text.


It'd be nice to have a way to see what I said in the chat as it gets passed up by everyone else's talking.
