A host is a random person that did nothing to be a host. They don't deserve such power. Only in custom lobbies mabye.

Exactly this.
And especially in less populated gamemodes (Coven, Ranked, Custom) this basically means that people can just kick others for their own benefit, or to use it as a tool for harassment.

Maybe similarly to repicking host there can be a voting system to kick players? That way one person isn’t abusing power.

Or just make screenshots and report the lobby spammers.

The fun for them ends quickly if they have to keep paying to make new accounts.

As they are a global moderator, I'm pretty sure they do think it works, I also believe it works but it will take time before getting rid of every toxic player, and new ones will always come

Yeah but eventually since this game is a pay to play. People will stop being toxic because a ban= lose of real money.

Why not have custom lobbies to allow heightened host powers like the ones being discussed? (Or private matches?)

There are many games out there that allow this kind of feature and it stands to reason that it could work with this game.

As for the bots in random MM, yeah, there should be an anti-bot/cheat system for this. I don't know how that would work since I'm only going off experience from FPS games.

They tried it when the botter issue was at it's peak. The botters figured out how to work around it within hours and it failed miserably.

Then you could have used multiple captchas if the situation becomes dire? You know the joke about being behind 4 firewalls?

I also think you could have used some of the more foolproof captchas I've seen around the internet if you didn't do so.

I still think making the game P2P (separate from the forums; I would like my friends to join the forums and play my forum games) was a clever move. It saved a lot of hassle and the game itself. The Trial people can have an easier time now.
