I'm guessing not when you frame a Transporter or Retri, though.
Unless Town is dumb as mince, they'll give readily confirmable roles a chance to prove while they have a comfortable majority. And since neither Retri or Trans is going to pre-emptively reveal, a D2 claim means a ballsy frame on limited info, which'll swiftly get you confirmed and ignored.
At the moment, a lot of Exe wins boil down to a he says / she says stand-off where Town side with the accuser over the accused when neither can be proven. As a result, Exe is encouraged to claim TI and roll the dice early before other Town roles are confirmed and build up enough information to disprove the Exe's accusation. The alternative, trying to hold out until Maf takes control and agrees to lynch your target, is significantly less likely compared to a thumping Town win, and you have limited ways to get yourself "confirmed" temporarily as Town that don't involve shafting the allies you'd need to ultimately pull off a win.
Villager's suggestion would allow the Exe to plan their approach more deviously, rather than having to adapt on the fly and rely heavily on blind luck. I quite like it, and would certainly be interested in seeing it tested out.
