And its worth mentioning to bolster my argument, the conclusion of the event was the result of a mod mistake in that the answers to the questions were not correct.

If I am not awarded of a win because of a mod mistake which without penalty can be overturned, then this game has lost all integrity. Even if everything happening was planned out lets give evan the benefit of the doubt, if I dont get a win here then it loses that semblance of integrity and structure, implying that the mod is making decisions because, 'eh sucks to be you, I don't feel like being accurate to the game'.

In which case why is anyone still playing.

If this is the correct argument then this game isn't worth playing because evan will just say 'eh i dont feel like letting you win according a presented win condition' even if you work towards one and achieve it.
