Newbie fourm mafia rolelist change suggestion

This is the current rolelist.
Town Investigative
Town Protective
Town Killing
Random Town
Random Town
Citizen
Citizen
Citizen
Citizen
Citizen

Godfather
Mafia Tactical/Support
Random Mafia

I like this, but I do have a slight problem with it; all fights are mafia vs town. I think this loses out on a valuable experience for new players, finding the bad neutrals too or being a bad neutral themselves. So. Here's my proposed change.

Town Investigative
Town Protective
Town Killing
Random Town
Random Town
Random Town
Citizen
Citizen
Citizen

Godfather
Mafia Tactical/Support
Random Mafia

Random Neutral

This removes two cits, which is good so new players know how to submit actions and don't get the impression that newbie fourm mafia is just doing nothing, as well as showing new players that scum can be any neutral and that they will still pose a threat to town, even if surv. The extra rt is needed because with this list, town has an opposition of 4 so needs more pr.

exactly for this reason we need less PRs and more cits - so people learn how to do something, instead of just submitting their night actions and hoping someone else to do all the dirty work in game thread

I agree, but 4 scum is very hard for a set of new players. With this list more prs are nessesary.

well, you can increase town numbers and give extra ML before they lose for example rather than taking out 2 cits for extra PR

but i really doubt they gonna bring back neutrals to NFM

9v3v1 is not balanced and they don't want make bigger game for NFM - new players would wait longer for it to fill up

Honestly doing a 9p with 2 town PR and 2 scum imo is the most ideal for a game.
If you need a replacement for an FM or most Forum games, PM me, and ill see if I can replace in.

Just as a note, Survivor is not standard and will especially not be available in NFM, which makes it a moot point. Random Neutral that can roll any Neutral is not balanced, as it could result in a Neutral Killing and a wildly imbalanced setup.

Citizens are important to the rolelist to preserve balance, and if anything, new players often should focus more on day play rather than night actions. FM is not about doing nothing, even if you have no night action.

Feedback is appreciated, but if new players truly do desire a more advanced experience with more power roles and third party alignments, that is what Standards exist for.
