So you haven't gotten a pokemon yet, eh? At your age? Well today's your lucky day. I have 20 tickets to an exclusive Pokemon Sanctuary where you'll get your very own partner pokemon!

These pokemon aren't just here for you to take, though. This is their home and they have a little problem. I mentioned this Sanctuary is exclusive, right? Well some of the pokemon, the Villagers of this Sanctuary, think it should be open to all humans and pokemon. There's a small group who disagrees with this and wants to keep this luxurious place all to themselves (the Usurpers); they're even willing to banish the Villagers to accomplish this. Then there are the pokemon who have their own agenda, or even no agenda at all. Your partner's goals with be your goals, so do your best to help them gain control of this place.

So here's how this will work: the pokemon have decided to only come out at night, hiding who is partnered with who to prevent outright violence, especially against the humans. As a result, all pokemon are flown out (by my own neutral partner, Flygon) and healed outside of the sanctuary. Flygon and I have also graciously offered to escort someone off the island should the majority of the Sanctuary's inhabitants decide they are no longer welcome.

1) Metrion will be the Head Moderator, ValeforRaine will be the Curation Moderator.

2) This is not an official game, therefore no titles will be awarded. Bragging rights of course will always be distributed at the end to the victors.

3) After 36 hours if a player has not posted ValeforRaine will prod them for inactivity. If they do not reply or post within 18 hours they will be replaced. If they are prodded again, they will be replaced.

4) All Night actions and Death Notes should be sent to both ValeforRaine and Metrion, Day Actions and Last Wills to both as well. Please label everything appropriately; "Night Action", "Death Note", "Day Action" and "Last Will" with no mixing or grouping.

5) Players will have four,  two-hundred character limit whispers each day. Send a private message to ValeforRaine and Metrion with the whisper and the intended recipient. It will be posted in the main thread when sent.

6) The buffs/changes to roles and a new role:

Spoiler: -The Honchkrow trainer will be able to see all night actions related to their Usurper members.

-Haunter will always use nightshade on it's original target, and it's new target will also be nightshaded. Mismagius, Dragonite and roleblocks affect this.

-The Marshal will be in play as Metagross. See the role card below.

7) We do not tolerate game throwing. You will be blacklisted from future games if you attempt to do this. Refer here for more on that and the general rules. This can include "Jesting".

8) Please do not avidly spam the thread. No one can get a word in edgewise and it becomes a mess if everyone is doing it.

9) Just have fun and remember to be respectful. Do we really need to tell you this?

You can choose one player for Greninja to spy on during the day. Greninja will hear all whispers involving that player, both sent and received.
You may decide to do this within the first 24 hours of the Day Phase. If you do not do this, Greninja will listen to no one during the day.

Each night, Cloyster can clean a pokemon. If that pokemon faints that night, their pokeball will be washed away with them inside. Their missing trainer is all that will be revealed. However, you WILL see what their pokemon was.
Their last will will also be revealed to Cloyster and hidden from the rest of the Sanctuary.
It doesn't matter who attacks Cloyster's target or what side its target is on; the only thing that matters is that they need to faint that night for Cloyster's move to work.

Every night you may choose which pokemon Zoroark will appear as; this will completely fool Xatu. Zoroark may also visit a pokemon each night and change their appearence to that of a Zoroark. The Ninjask will see who Zoroark's target visits instead of Zoroark.
While decieving Xatu, a Starmie's confide on the other hand will see through your illusion.

Every night, you can direct Zangoose to attack one pokemon with slash.
Zangoose cannot be fainted at night. If somebody tries to attack them, the attacker will receive a message saying that they were immune.
If a pokemon tries to roleblock Zangoose, Zangoose will target them instead of your chosen target.
You win if it is just you and the trainer with Honchkrow remaining.
You lose if it is just you and the trainer with Magmortar or Haunter remaining.

You must faint the Usurpers
You must faint Magmortars
You must faint Haunters

Magmortar

You have been given a Magmortar.

Its alignment is Neutral Killing.

Magmortar has no care for those who currently live on the Sanctuary. In fact, it wishes to burn this island to the ground and start over. But first it has to deal with the current populace.

Each night, Magmortar can use will-o-wisp on a pokemon or overheat to faint every pokemon who has been will-o-wisped.
Magmortar's method of attack ignores night immunity.
Magmortar will appear not to be suspicious to a Starmie.
Magmortar cannot be fainted at night. If somebody tries to attack, the attacker will receive a message saying that they were immune.

You will also receive a message stating Kingler was attacked.
Your goal is to help Kingler get their target banished by a majority vote.
If you succeed at this, you've won the game with Kingler, and will be allowed to spend the rest of the game the Sanctuary however you wish.
However, if Kingler's target dies at night, your pokemon will be swapped for that of a Sneasel.

Sneasel

You have been given a Sneasel

Its alignment is Neutral Evil.

Sneasel well, Sneasel has no directive or goal. Its only reason for being is to play tricks on the residents of the Sanctuary. It has devised a rather cruel prank that will only work if it is banished. Your job is to see that through.

You win the game by getting you and your pokemon banished during the day by a majority vote.
You lose the game if Sneasel faints during the night.

If you get banished during the day, that night you get to choose one of the players that voted for you and Sneasel will return that night and use payback on them. This move bypasses any form of night immunity, including being healed by a Chansey or twisted by a Dragonite.

Will you pick a villager, the Honchkrow, or just that guy you don't like? It's all possible with a wildcard like Sneasel.

You win with the Village
You win with the Usurpers

Its alignment is Neutral Benign.

Shuckle lives a nice life, scurrying around making berry juice, hiding in its shell, and doing other non-sensical things. Being easily pleased, Shuckle is equally fine with anyone gaining control of the Sanctuary or even if there is anyone else so long as it can carry on.

Each night, you can choose for Shuckle to use protect or not. If somebody tries to attack Shuckle when they use protect, the attacker will receive a message saying that they were immune. This doesn't work for pokemon that bypass night immunity, like Sneasel and Magmortar.
However, Shuckle only has 3 pp, so use them wisely.

You win with the Village
You win with the Usurpers
You win with Shuckles
You win with Mismagius
You win with Magmortars
You win with Zangooses
You win with Haunters
You must kill Electrodes
You may spare anyone else

Mismagius

You have been given a Mismagius

Its alignment is Neutral Evil.

Scorned by the village, Mismagius is trying to bring about its downfall from the shadows, using all its moves and all the pokemon to its advantage.

Every night, you can choose somebody's pokemon for Mismagius to control with a combination of taunt, torment and trick and the target you want your controlled pokemon to use their move on.
You won't be informed of the end result of Mismagius' controlling, or even if the one they controlled had a move to use at all!
You'll have to pay close attention to learn people's pokemon and use them to make the village suffer.
Mismagius has also snatched a focus sash, allowing them to brave one attack without fainting.
Once the focus sash has been used, attacks will harm Mismagius.
The attacker will only know of Mismagius' immunity to their attack. Victreebel and Galvantula bypass the sash.
Mismagius cannot be put to sleep.

You win with Mismagius
You win with Shuckles
You win with the Usurpers
You win with Magmortars
You win with Zangooses
You win with Haunters
You must faint the Village
You must faint Electrodes
You may spare anyone else

Ditto

You have been given a Ditto

Its alignment is Neutral Benign.

Ditto is a curious inhabitant. Like a few other members of the Sanctuary, Ditto is unsure of who to side with, but once they make a choice with transform they cannot go back.

Ditto may become any pokemon that has fainted or been banished, except for Unique Roles (Slowking, Togekiss, Honchkrow, etc).
You choose this pokemon at night, and Ditto becomes your chosen pokemon after dawn if successful.
The pokemon you choose shall become visible to everybody, and you may begin taking actions as that new pokemon the next night.
Once Ditto uses transform, you will receive a new Role Card corresponding to your selected pokemon.

To win, you must first select a pokemon - you then win with whoever that pokemon would win with!
As Ditto, you do not win just by surviving to the end of the game. You must use transform to win.

Haunter

You have been given a Haunter.

Its alignment is Neutral Fainting.

Haunter loves playing tricks. Instead of for fun like he used to, Haunter now plays mean-spirited tricks just to see the fear in pokemon's eyes. Oh, how he loves that emotion. Upon learning Nightshade, Haunter begins to imagine all its wonderful applications.

Each night, Haunter may use Nightshade on one pokemon.
Each of your targets will faint two nights after you began using Nightshade on them.
Targets will not know they have been targeted, until the night they faint.
Haunter may target someone new each night, and their past targets will all faint over the paranoia that you have caused them.
Haunter's method of fainting ignores night immunity, and any Village Protectives trying to stop this attack will fail to do so.
Your pokemon is night immune. It is also immune to Nightshade.
If someone tries to make Haunter fall asleep (or Galvantula traps them), Haunter will use nightshade on their roleblocker(s).
Once Haunter begins his attack on a target, nothing can save them unless he faints before the night the target is suppose to faint from his attack.

You win with Haunters
You win with Shuckles
You win with Mismagius
You must faint the Village
You must faint the Usurpers
You must faint Magmortars
You must faint Zangooses
You must faint Electrodes
You may spare anyone else

Wobbuffet

You have been given a Wobbuffet

It's alignment is Neutral Benign.

Wait, what's going on here? Wobuffet is sort of confused on just who to support. Wobbuffet can use destiny bond to not drag a pokemon into fainting with it but instead aid it in its goal.

Once a Day or Night, you can inform the Game Moderator you wish to use destiny bond during a phase.
If you faint doing this or are banished, Wobbuffet will appear as Cleaned, and you may choose to serve someone the following night for the rest of the game.
Wobbuffet has 5 pp for destiny bond. Wobbuffet cannot bond with someone who vote to banish them.
After you have chosen the player to bond with, you may both communicate via 5 200-character limit whispers every Night Phase.
Wobbuffet can also choose to use safeguard on someone's house, revealing every pokemon who visits that person for you and your bonded player that night.
You cannot safeguard your bonded player's house.
You win if your efforts help your bonded player win the game.
You lose if your efforts fail to help your bonded player win the game, or if you faint without performing the ritual.

Electrode

You have been given a Electrode.

Its alignment is Neutral Fainting.

Your Electrode is tired of the mockery it takes from all the residents of this sanctaury. "You're not a real pokemon, you're just an oversized pokeball" they jeer at it. It'll show them, though, it'll show them all! Through training Electrode had figured out exactly how to combine two deadly moves, to make one final display for everyone to see and experience!

Each night, Electrode may use bide at one persons house. Bide lasts two nights.
If that person is attacked, the violence of the event triggers bide and your pokemon will absorb some of the energy.
Once bide is triggered, a warning is sent to the Sanctuary that Electrode is about to go off.
After 3 following nights, Electrode will use explosion, fainting everybody in the Sanctuary
The only way to prevent Electrode from using explosion is to faint Electrode first.
You are night immune.

You win with Electrodes
You must faint the Village
You must faint the Mafia
You must faint Arsonists
You must faint Serial Killers
You must faint Survivors
You must faint Witches
You must faint Stalkers
You may spare anyone everyone else

Wormadam

You have received a Wormadam, its name is Rick.

Its alignment is The Damn One.

You are a Wormadam who enjoys the Phoenix Wright game series. Also, you are damned by everyone, regardless of your role on the island.

You may be damned by the Village
You may be damned by Shuckles
You may be damned by the Usurpers
You may be damned by Magmortars
You may be damned by Mismagius
You may be damned by Zangooses
You may be damned by Haunters
You may be damned by Electrodes
You may be damned by anyone else.

DAMN IT RICK!

Everyone looks around them at the 19 other new trainers, a Flygon lurking nearby, looking rather disinterested in them. It appears no one will be flown out of the Sanctuary on the day they arrived. The trainers decide to take this opportunity to get to know one another, before the Usurpers officially begin trying to take over and the skirmish begins in earnest.

Day 1 will end on December 15th at 1:00 PM EST (UTC -5).
24 hours remain.
Sing something new, I have nothing left,
I can't face the dark without
you.
There's nothing left to lose, the fight never ends,
I can't face the dark without
you.

Holding the hand that holds me down.
I forgive you, forget you,
the end.

I think we should nominate someone to claim to.
Always called Vinyl Scratch these days.

I enjoy playing Town of Salem, but will never risk a ban to do what others think is right that I know is wrong.

This is a not so good idea. We don't HAVE to claim to anyone. I'd prefer we only claim to a revealed Slowking or Absol Trainer.

I'm a certain Town role, leyva, that can be proven with ease. :D

I'm requesting protection because I can really be of aid to any confirmed Town member. You know, help confirm people and stuff.

I'll only claim to such a proven Town member for that reason.
