Its just a double amnesiac, and its basically protect someone, if they die you gain their role and will (I know its you replacing them, but to outside town members this is what it looks like). Then you have your death ability, which is an amnesiac of alive people.

What does this claim on stand? The fact it can be any town power role means its one of the highest tatgets mafia can go for. Lemonader is simply saying that BG dies and trades for scum, while this role dies and gives 'nothing'. This isn't strictly true, as it gives TLs their secrecy, but what is the cost?

Again, this is similar to TP retributionist.

5 vs 4 mafia. 1st save. Lets compare all the roles we have got.
Doctor: 5 vs 4 (Heal)
Bodyguard: 4 vs 3 (Protect)
Botanist: 5 vs 4 (Plant heal)
Tp retri: 4 vs 4 (Target still dies. Main reason why I think its a bit UP)
Impersonator: 4 vs 4 (Anonymity save.)

Retri has limited way to bring back majority, this has no way. Of course, it may be more about the role saved, but wont all TPs protect Jailor, with equal or better results?

no the first part is no one dies u swap identities u fake die has the swapped person who would of died, swapped person is still in play with their role own role but in your old indetity, no part of this is like anmeasic, only the second part is

thats the second part of the role while fake dead not the first part, it isn't double

it does not die it sees no death chat because it isn't dead it fake dies and renters the game when it predicts who will die a certain
night

it has 2 heals but each acts differently


but once its second heal is done it becomes another town role entirely maybe even bodygaurd, ist a weaker doc with secreacy mixed in and then an anmeasic like ability at the end

this role is weaker late game where mafia might have majority its meant to get the first part of its ability done early on

the -1 is only temporary because when it renters the game it will be +0 because no one will die when it assumes an identity

ret is overpowered ret is +1 once, the OP part is it confirms two people

this role is + 0 but twice but confirms no one and gives pseudo protection of letting a person be unknown again

if we are gonna base the standard of good on comparing roles to ret i think balance is done for in this game

I mean TP retri. Mystoc, I understand your role fully. Just, to the outside view, it looks like that. I yet again am talking about Paralaxes Retri, not the broken one. Mystoc, I did say that, and I am pretty sure you yourself posted on that role idea. This role weakens throughout the game, and turns not very powerful at all if its outed on stand. The other roles dont really have such a dramatic power dip. Anyway, a surprise jailor wont work if they jail. ..

when i hear ret i don't think role overhaul ret, i think overpowered game role ret,

these two roles are similar expect this role never dies to use its ability just fake dies

pralaxes ret is very delayed in what it does and it just wants to die and even has a way to do so, this is role is active in its ability

even if u know the impersonator exits u cant be sure whose identity he let somome take/is, if hes outed hes still effective he even has a self vet to fake his own death, this is a little weak late game though since its protection is delayed,

ill try think of a buff

It doesn't matter if it 'fake dies'. The problem is that its 'protection' still means that mafia get to the voting advantage quicker compared to other roles. Its self vest is not good protection at all, as it then means you get a Doctor ability, but your vote or input in chat does not count. I get the idea of impersonation, but actually, why can't this role simply be an edited Trauma patient which is, if your target dies, you will remember their role and gain their will. I mean, that basically would have the same effect on what this has. It doesn't 'protect', or my version doesn't. I don't like town protective roles which don't have enough impact with their ability to not even help avert the vote-count. Just my opinion, which perhaps doesn't matter, as I play neither TG (yet) or FM.

temporarily a vote is lost, but being not dead does matter since the vote can be regained without use of ret it can get back into the game itself

the main aspect of this role is hiding high impact roles again, it hard to judge how powerful that is personaly i think its very strong, evil thinking key roles are dead when they are not is important

another thing is that since its ability is day ability it cant be roleblocked or witched nor can transporter mess it up it also doesnt fear visits that cause deaths, i complety forgot to mention that till now,

i remember when making the role i added it to give the role something extra and the lore preparing to duisguise urself during the day so at night ur ready,

i will try to think of way to solve the voting problem of the role
