Everyone's doing this faction thing generally i hate factions because they are too hard to balance and an headache to review so i have never even tried to make one, but here is my first shot at making fanction it will prolly suck

The pirates of the Marry Ann have roamed the 7 seas in search of treasure killing and plundering those that they encountered for many years. Until one disastrous night a storm like no other arrived and destroyed their beloved ship. All of the crew were lost at sea, and washed up on shore apart from each other. The crew of the Marry Ann have not been able to make contact with each other yet. The pirates divided or united plan to take over town of Salem by force for the access to the towns money and resources to begin rebuilding their beloved ship. The Crew of the Marry Ann are merciless and will kill anyone who gets in their way!
Faction Mechanics:
Spoiler:-Every Member of the pirate faction is an unique role -There must always be captian if the captain dies another pirate will be promoted to be the next captain pirate killing will only be promoted if they are the last alive -When a Pirate kills it will not say their role that did that kill just that the faction killed the person -Keyword UNITED means all pirates still alive are part of the same group thus united -Other players will not be told if/when the pirates are united once again
-The Idea of this faction is they start off about in average in terms of strength but have no night chat or idea who their other teammates are until they make contact with them, once all pirates become Untied again their abilities strengthen or their abilities will change to a completely different one
Making Contact: -Pirates can find their crew if they visit a crew member -Any negative action that is done to a pirate teammate will just be turned into a visit -Existing Groups will be added to each other for example if theres a group 2 and another group of 2 if any member of the groups makes contact with a pirate from the other group they will be combined together to form a full group of 4

Abilities: -You may attack every night if your target lives from your attack you must wait one night before being attack capable again -If you are the last pirate alive you may attack every night no matter what

-Any other role person who is promoted to be caption will only have a basic defense -You will lose any draw that happens with a kill capable role that is not town
Abilities: -Each night select two people, if one of them visits the other Person attack the person visited by your other target -IF they both visit each other you may attack both of them -You may select one of your teammates to attack who they visit , if use a teammate you must wait a night before being attack capable again

I'm sure it won't suck. You do a good job with roles. But don't jump on the bandwagon just because everyone else (including me) is! We don't need this many factions! (except that we do)

A uninformed minority seems pretty hard to balance. However, I haven't read the roles yet, so I don't know.

So they start off as a bunch of NKs/Supports? Seems like they have a miniature town problem while working against the town, which is that the Majority doesn't know info, and the Minority does. However, this means you can end up lynching a Pirate that's on your side, and waste nights 'finding' a member. Seems pretty weak, but once again, I haven't read the roles yet.

This kinda heavily nerfs Sheriff. By the time all the pirates have been united, a bunch of Town (including him) will probably have died, and they'd probably have almost lost Majority.

It seems like random voting is the main ally of town here, as most members of the Pirate may vote guilty on accident on a member of their alliance early game. VFR will also work well.

So a nerfed SK, that can't attack a jailed or healed target without suffering? Every other Faction can have it's main KPN deal one basic attack per night, but I guess if there's a bunch of KPN, you need to put some restrictions. (Or nerf the KPN.)

I feel like this is reversed Fanatic, only that you have a 13/15 chance to get an enemy, and getting an ally is a huge advantage, so this guy's up to the nerf chopping block.

So, just select someone, if they're not a pirate, then people don't have to choose them. If they are a pirate, then you get with them, and all teammates get with them the next night. All in all, needs a nerf.

By 'them', I assume you mean your team? Which is UP, because if you get Conslignere results, you're going to tell them anyway. If this is the other person, then no. Why would you give the other person notification they were investigated?

So, weak transporter? The real thing here is the ability to survive a WW and Arso or lower, which means that ehhh, nerfing a NK is meh. It does grant good protection, so I'm fine with it though. Just needs a slight nerf AFTER everyone else gets nerfed/buffed.
Spoiler:-This faction by no means done yet im not satisfied with faction by any means I i just wanted to post what i have now to get feedback i will be adding stuff now/in the future
-Some of these roles could be considered deception type role but i have decided for now to keep them all support the plan is that the last two spots can be support or deception, so reclassifying the alignments wouldn't changed the role list just classify each role better
-Keep in my mind these roles are better versions of some existing roles because of the unique way the faction starts out in the game they start off the game which is their biggest weakness
I didn't read this part lol (I don't think anything other then the Pirate, Killing roles should kill. That way, only 2 kills per night at Max, and after some nerfs done to the OP killing roles (looking at you Cutthroat) it'll be more balanced.
Seems like it's in need of some major balancing, but is a cool concept.

gonna rebalance alot of thsese the captain is a nerfed SK cause because pirate killing can kill aslo

right now i have 4 pirate killing (including captain who is in every game)
and 4 pirate support and also 4 pirate deception
yes some roles are better versions of some existing roles once united because their early game they don't know who each other are and don't have night chat,
the idea of this faction is at the start they are disorganized are weaker because of this, once united the crew becomes much stronger
Since I kind of like lore, I'll add flavour text for each role.
Captain - A born leader with a fiery passion for loot and finding his team. Cutthroat - A sneaky apprentice who predicts attacks perfectly. Marauder - An experienced attacker with a habit of hidden raids. Swashbuckler - A swashbuckler with an obsession for gold. Surveyor - An unknown blueprinter who marks the correct spot with striking accuracy. Cook - An evil chef for the pirate team who poisons people just right to gain the upper hand. Sneak - A deceiving eavesdropper who listens in on forbidden info to aid his team. Corsair - A masterful recruiter who finds if people are worthy under great pressure. Buccaneer - A helpful defender who takes hits for his team. Quartermaster - A trickster who plays with the trial and visits to prank others. Swindler - A skillfull mugger who decieves and frames to get to the top. Deciever - A controlled deciever who forces others to forfeit their actions.
updated a lot of the roles , supports now have the passive affect to add pirates to the crew if they end up visiting the same target
the only role i don't like is swashbuckler i wanted to include a version of the current pirate role in the pirate faction but theres no way to make it have no RNG like element, the role is still strong and a better then pirate once united, but it still doesn't have guaranteed kills, i may rework swashbuckler so it is nothing like pirate tell me what you guys think
i see a lot of faction being reviewed seems like perfect time to ask for more feedback, keep in mind if you have given feedback before a lot of stuff has changed since then
