think its more the nomination system wasnt well thought out considering awards were given to multiple players who've left FM, half to mods and the legendary Ultiix neutral wipe, which is both hilarious and well deserved. i cant remember fm games from a month ago its natural theyre skewed to later games just from how it was set up

you can act all high and mighty, but when there's a clear showing of recent inactivity and players leaving with a bad player retention rate, you might want to reconsider what you recognize as good site policy. especially since this site meta has seemed to go backwards then forwards.

When the idea was initially composed it memory wasn't really an obvious concern, especially since later all the games were in the OP. There's also the fact that people at the end of the year also tend to be newer and have personal experience with events that happened closer to the end of the year skewing votes. Moderators won 5/16 of the categories with TrueGent winning 3 of those. One of those categories (Best Role) only had myself nominated, with that and the Best Setup being winning by proxy as the creator.

It's clear that if the awards are something to continue that the nominations should be open year round to try and have more inclusions. Something to also look into is a better presentation of the data once it comes time to voting for more context to the voters.

Yeah, I'm glad he got recognized. I'm also glad that Schultz got some gratification for his amazing dedication to 13B and I hope more people put as much love as he does into what they do.

Not to mention our two rookies.
