Role name - Trainer (Unique)
Town Support (Keeping Town Support, unless, convincing argument happens.)

Psst, i accept constructive CRITICISM! and i may change anything wrong with this role

I just wanted to thank all of you guys, i sent my role idea "Trainer" and it has been accepted into the TG! Free tomatoes for everyone!


1) Abilities-

Spoiler: 1a)Day ability - Choose someone to train. You won't be able to talk with your target. Your target won't know they are being trained unless the trained ability activates.

1b) Night ability - Train someone for the following abilities

a) Concentration - Roleblock immunity
b) Racer - You will be able to outrun Serial Killers and Arsonists but only once ] (Yes, you are warned when Racer buff wears off)
c) Magic Ignorant- Making you Magic Ignorant, will make it impossible for whispers and medium to reach you, because you're going to ignore them. Spy can still see the whisper BUT you can't be witched or haunted by a Jester. If witched.
+As a normal role - You will ignore the witch
+As a killing role - You will kill the witch
-Whispers send to you won't reach you.
-Spy will be able to see the whispers
-You or the Sender won't know that you're ignoring their whispers.
Observation: Effect won't target the Spy

d) Attention - You will if you're visited at all, you will see how many players visited you
Example-
(N1) Trained, learned "Attention"
(N2) You were visited by one player (two, three, four, etc. Depends on the amount of players who visited you.)

You can only Train one person once
Example-
(N1) Trained person A
(N2) Tired, so no bussines,
(N3) Can't train person A again, he must train someone else, but he can still take A for saving. (Yes a message should pop-up warning the Trainer, but only once for no annoyance)

(Im planing on giving some a side-effect for balancing, should i?)

# There is a 1 nights cooldown each time you take someone for training. It shall appear
(N1) After training: "You succesfully trained a townie!"
(N2) 1st night off: "You are exausted! You decided to not take your target"
(N3) Training: "You took your target for training!"
(N?) If your target is attacked: "You sacrificed for your target, but, he didn't learn anything!"

# You can't train the revealed Mayor or a Jailor (The button will appear for Jailor, but it will say "You were roleblocked!" after the night phase.)
# If are jailed, you won't take your target.


2) Person In Training

Spoiler: At the start of the night your target won't know they are being trained.
- If you get targeted by a killing role, the trainer will die for you, but, you won't learn anything and will be roleblocked.
End of the night "You were roleblocked!" Or when attacked "The Trainer sacrificed for you! you didn't learn anything.

# The Trained person will not be able to see what he learned with the Trainer, he will only know when the ability activates.


3) Uses
Spoiler: Let's suppose that there is a Witch(W), a confirmed Vigilante(V), Trainer(T) and a (Random Mafia turned) Mafioso (M)

Day (4 alive)
-V doesn't know who is Witch or Trainer or Mafioso
-W doesn't know that there is a Trainer, but she already know M and V.
-M knows W, T and V

Night (4 alive, 2 dies.)
-T takes V to train and teachs V "Magic ignorance"
-W tries to enchant V into shooting T but it fails and instead V shoots W
-M tries to kill V but T sacrifices and saves V life, leaving only V and M
-The game ends in a draw (I suppose)


4) Investigation results
Spoiler: Investigator = Your target seeks justice. They must be a Vigilante, Mafioso, Amnesiac or Trainer.
Sheriff = "Your target isn't suspicious"
Consigliere and Witch = "Your target dreams of training the town against the evil. They must be a Trainer!"

Thats... actually rather unique. Definitely town power, but no only any should be required.

What does the racer mean? Does that mean for someone like escort or consort they won't get attacked for rbing? or what?

I really like this idea because it is fairly unique, and rather than converting roles it simply gives buffs, which is GREAT.

You should add a few more buff options, and for the racer buff, they should only be immune once, like an autovest, for balancing. Also you should only be able to train a person one time.

I love this so far

Edit: Definitely don't make it town power, because it is actually fairly weak. I suggest only a one night gap in between trainings, i.e. N1: Train N2: Cant N3: train again.

Why? the person trained should be able to see that he was trained, because he will be able to see what he learned.

I agree that it should be removed, because that makes it confirmable.

+ Added "Attention" buff
- Limited him so he cant teach the same person twice (Making "Racer" not a sk/arso immunity)
- Limited "Racer" buff for a 1 time auto-run
+ Added a warning for when "Racer" are used.
+ Changed to a 1 night cooldown
- Removed the warning for the player when took for training, making it less "confirmable"
- Made so the person wont know what he learned, unless it activates.
+ Added Investigation results
+ Made stuff fancier and less of a text wave.

mutli ability seems a bit too OP for this game. It should be something specific that fits a support role. No killing, no protecting, no role revealing. rather it be something that offers a utility. I think private chat is just encouraging game throw and cheating.

What do you mean? he just buffs other players, i do think he fits support because..

Town Support: Anything that cannot be categorized in the alignments above (TP, TI, TK) falls under this. These roles usually have a wide variety of abilities that can assist the town, each unique in their own manner. There aren't a lot of guidelines for this one, apart from being creative and trying to come up with something interesting whilst still keeping balance in mind.


Also i'm removing the Private chat, i just forgot to do it on the previous Change log.

The idea is interesting, but this is what I think should be changed in my opinion:

The Magic Ignorant buff is unnecessary and I personally think you should scrap it or replace it with another buff. It just nerfs Witch, which Witch doesn't really need since it's already a hard role to play. And Transporter can already transport Jester guilt away so I don't think there needs to be another way to avoid Jester guilt either.

Plus like someone stated earlier in the thread, I think having to many abilities to train someone with makes it a little OP.

Other than that, it's fine.

The main purpose i made Trainer was to buff other Town Roles so i added 4 buff variety seems to be needed for this job. Because with this variety it can take some lead in the game.
(I also already made a nerf which you can only train 1 person once.)

About the Magic Ignorant, i will put on a pool for it and i will see if people what to remove, substitute or add a side effect to it.

Just one time? Underpowered, and I will always use Attention, because then we straight out can call out players for doing things to you. Also confirms... Consigliere, Consort, and can be used confirm a certain player is town as they will say they visited you and then you know they are town. It's too easy mode bro

Yeah, you can just buff one person once, or do you want to be mafia in a game with a fully trained investigator and a fully trained doctor?
I agree that the "Attention" may be a "confirm tool", i would change it to "Make you know that you were visited"
Example:
You're A the investigator
On night 3 B (BG) C (Witch) and D (Framer) visits you
You can confirm in your will that you was visited, if they have "N3) A" you can already say, "Yeah, that's not a fake will, because i was visited."
If the 3 slots have been taken and E (Executioner) says "N3) A - Your target is a member of mafia!" you can have a more convincing argument like "But i was only visited 3 times, you are lying!" (assuming all the 3 are either dead, or did post their will).

This is way too OP. Not just for the obvious reasons; it can also find Jailor. Sorry, but no support. Maybe if the Trainer only had one (or a limited number of) trains and couldn't train Town Power in general, then I might throw my support in. But as of now, it's extremely OP.

I kinda don't like the idea of a limited use Town support, it sounds kinda wrong in a certain way.
And sure, i will make a way so it can't find Jailor and can't train Town Power.

i think you wanted a town role like plaguebearer but your target will be like PB and role will get different abilities.
