Also, if you think about it a different way, it is just a Doctor that prevents non-killers from visiting its target. In my opinion, it is too close to the Doctor and Escort to be added.

I know logically it would roleblock the target too but I thought that would be too overpowered and so it would only repel all visitors, the person can still perform their own ability. So this isn't supposed to be like an escort. I can see what you mean about the similarity to the Doc though. Do you have any suggestions of how that could be altered so it can be less similar to a doc?

Maybe, it can be unable to roleblock killers, but it could do something else. My only idea is that it could roleblock its target, but that would just make it a swingier Escort.

I meant for it to be TP so unable to rb killers would only harm Town. HAVING SAID THAT. Could this role be changed to a Mafia Support Role such that it would harm TI's or a Neutral Role?

Possibly. I think that a Mafia protective role would add to the game. A Mafia Doctor would not work, because most Mafia members die by lynching. I think that this role would work better than a Mafia Doctor because it protects Mafia members from investigative roles, along with other roles that can catch scum. The only problem with this is that it would render the Mafioso mostly pointless because it could just keep protecting the Godfather, so it can not be roleblocked. Maybe, this could even replace the Mafioso.

Here's something for ya.
Your target smells like chemicals. They are either a Doctor, Anesthesiologist, or Serial Killer!
Gives Anes a better claim
Doesn't destroy arsonist like trans/arso does.

Your target practices medicine. They must be a Doctor or Anesthesiologist
Does that work?
CAPTAINPHASMA123 wrote:This role is like a Mafia Marshal, which I like it. This can be effective against powerful town roles. I have a question, if the Mafioso/Godfather visits the Anesthesiologist's target, will the Mafioso/Godfather will be roleblocked or not? If it cannot roleblock the Godfather/Mafioso, this role will be powerful in some situations like when having a revealed Mayor in game, the Jailor and the NK is dead. The Anesthesiologist can target the Mayor and Mafioso/Godfather kill the Mayor to avoid being seen by Lookouts, protected by Doctors, etc.

So I was debating between:
A) The anesthesiologist can block everyone EXCEPT killing roles
If it was this case I feel like it might be too OP to be able to anesthetize a revealed mayor... Also if a BG visits the same target that you anesthetize do you think the BG should be blocked or the Anesthesiologist and BG die as if it was a killing role
Only thing holding me back for this is if Anesthesiologist and Mafioso/GF attack same person every day then town would literally have no leads so I feel like it needs to be balanced somehow if this is the case
B) The anesthesiologist can block killing roles too
THis might end up harming maf more than helping though so I was leaning towards the first option

I think that making it unable to block killing roles, because option B harms the Mafia more than it helps it. In order to fix the problem with blocking the Mafioso/Godfather, it should not be able to block the Godfather/Mafioso's target.

I feel like if it cant block the same target as killed, it removes a lot of the usefulness...Having said that, it would be OP if it could do it every night...
So these are the ideas I got:
Can anesthetize the gf/mafiosos target 3 times only
Can anesthetize the Maf's target 1 time and can anesthetize other people every other night
Can anesthetize anyone except the Maf's target

Just because NKs should get the easy protective claim.

Where would Vampire go? I agree that Anesthesiologist should be able to claim a protective role, but would Vampire still be in that result? Here are my two suggestions:
Your target smells like chemicals. They must be a Doctor, Serial Killer, Vampire, or Anesthesiologist.
This result seems a bit too scum sided, since three of the four people in it are evil.
Your target guards people. They must be a Bodyguard or Anesthesiologist.
This one is more balanced, taking the hard to prove Bodyguard out of the confirmed Town result, and giving the Anesthesiologist a decent claim. Its lore is too close to the protector result's, but balance>lore.
