Got 2 ideas.

I am more interested in feedback on these two

"Thief" A role with a mechanic that steals limited use abilities. For example, takes bullets from vigilantes/jailors, disguises from disguisers, etc.
Could possibly just be made a mafia role that screws with town, or a NE, NB, whatever.

"Masquerade" Swaps roles with another player. Can't swap with someone who has already been a masquerade. Obviously this would fall into the Neutral Chaos slot, because it alters the game on a fundamental level. Would have to swap BEFORE killing happens, otherwise it would make revenge kills a bit too easy, i.e; new godfather targets Masquerade, risk is that Masquerade switches back to mafia.

These are not very novel, added because I did not want to make a new thread

"Obstructionist" Limited use ability, prevents people with day abilities from using them. With the current investigation results, it would make it possible to prevent a mayor from revealing and maybe get them lynched. Mostly a hard counter to jailor locking up single GF indefinitely. Definitely mafia.

"Fate Binder" I have no doubt that this has been suggested already, but you pick two people at night. If one dies, the other dies. I'd say NE on this one.

"Kidnapper" I am pretty sure this has been suggested by now. I got the idea from Ultimate Werewolf's Hag. It would actually work as town or mafia. You just make someone unable to chat, vote, or do their ability during the day. They also can't be voted. They're just gone for the day. Can't be used on same target twice.

It's easiest to understand roles when put in the format. Thief is basically an interesting idea, but I suggest they can't steal from the same person twice. It would be best as Neutral Evil, who wants the Town to lose. Masquerade is an interesting idea, and one I like. This would be completely chaotic, but I really like the idea. Overall,

Kidnapper is suggested all the time, and is just blackmailer+. Not a great idea.
Fate Binder is very interesting, but holds too much power. Work with a killing role, get two kills for the price of one.

In Ultimate WW "Kidnapper" is a town role, it's fairly balanced in normal play in that game at least.

Fate Binder is similar to Cupid in Ultimate WW. I'm not sure how to balance it in TOS, but it might be doable. In that it's a one-off at the start of the game.

I greatly appreciate the feedback.

For obstructionist, it's basically jailor roleblock, and prevents Maypr Reveals. Not very useful.

Oh, even more feedback. Thanks :D. The ones on bottom admittedly are not that novel. They're just stuff I wouldn't mind seeing. I am generally against hard counters, but there is a very specific instance where the jailor can lock the mafia from killing completely. That's what inspired Obstructionist.

Thief has been suggested before and I am personally not a fan
Masquerade has been suggested before under many names and I don't personally think the concept will work
Obstructionist is too situational and is basically a Jailor + Mayor hardcounter
Fate Binder I like, give it Witch wincon(maybe some other buffs too) and this could be pretty cool
Kidnapper has been suggested before too and is essentially an overpowered combo of Blackmailer and Escort/Consort
