Thoughts on taunts?

I only recently noticed this.

People can use taunts while dead.

This is pretty ridiculous since the dead can use this to signal the town on who's evil. It's like circumventing med, you just gotta pay for it.

I myself enjoy turning the entire town into frogs often.
However I have yet to encounter someone actually using a taunt to signal evils.

Yes! In VIP. I use taunts to warn people of Medusa. But they are mostly ignored. Or even when you're sheriff and find a sus person.

This right here is why taunts should be disabled for the dead. Information from the dead is supposed to go through the medium assuming there is one. Taunts reduce the usefulness of the role and allow players to communicate while dead (in which case, we might as well just let the living see dead chat)

It's not much of a problem now, but what if dead sheriffs/invests start doing it in ranked? Wile it is true that anyone can taunt, the fact that taunts cost money makes it so players need to spend more money to effectively combat the strategy while the dead townie only needs to do it once. + having any strategy in the game that requires real money to effectively use is in poor taste, it should only be used for things like cosmetics that don't impact gameplay IMO.

I've never seen taunts as a particularly good way of speaking to people from beyond the grave. The most it can do at night is say "You're gonna die" but that can come from the dead or the living. During the day, it can pee on someone, turn them into a frog, some small fireworks or RIP them. I don't think that's much to go on at all. But overall, they're a little bit of harmless fun, are they worth spending money on, hell no. Fun, nevertheless.

I think they should be removed as a possibility from ranked.
