What Should Players Be Looking Forward To?

We haven't had an update since December, and I haven't seen any discussions about future updates, content, or changes mentioned anywhere (unless I'm blind, if so please revoke my eyes).

Is there anything game/company wise to look forward to in the future for Town of Salem?

Shape mentioned here that the devs have plans for a reconnect system and an auto-punishment system for leavers. There are also unused avatars for the Consigliere, Disguiser, and Psychic roles in the game files that will probably be implemented in an upcoming update.

As far as new roles and other balance changes go, I don't think that the devs have mentioned any plans.

We've reached a point now where the priority role changes have gone through, so now we just wait for the impact on Ranked and whether extra features on the game can be improved.

(I'm waiting for the avatar overhaul teased by Blue a while ago, I love the new brighter style)

Spy is garbage. Jailor is garbage. Mayor is garbage. Framer is garbage. Blackmailer is garbage. Ambusher is garbage. Jester is garbage. Almost every expansion role except Tracker is garbage.

I want the devs to make the game balanced and don't like how they are clearly prioritizing chaos modes over balanced ones. I get that the majority of the playerbase including me plays those modes, but it is much easier to make a fun chaos mode than to make mechanics that are balanced. I think we have a very good variety of chaos modes right now. Ranked is much more balanced than it used to be, but there are still many roles that need to be completely changed. Once all the roles that I mentioned above are either completely reworked or taken out of Ranked, then maybe the focus can shift to factors outside the game.

I don't think most players, even newer ones, care very much about graphics. I think there is a very wide variety of cosmetics since this is a clear priority of the devs. A reconnect button needs to be created and should have been created at least 5 years ago, but that's one of the only high-priority changes unrelated to the game itself.

But I think the devs need to make a huge change, like something on the scale of adding Coven. They shouldn't make another DLC, but they need to make some sort of major expansion if they care about the survival of this game. I'm talking something with multiple new roles, maybe a new faction, or even a completely new game that is either a spinoff of ToS or a standalone game that can increase BMG's name recognition. The game is dying, but it still has a decently large playerbase that has room to expand.

If the devs felt the need to make a cryptic post about the next update ahead of time, then it should at least be more than just a few new skins. If it is a graphical update, it will in all likelihood be something major.
