I like the paywall, it keeps less serious players out of our favourite game mode... where theyre just gonna cry about it being ''too hard for coven'' or ''not enough claim space'' or ''Im not gonna try and kill the TP in case theres TP on them'' instead of changing their play style to suit the format.

I really would probly quit if they made coven free, like all the other smarter players that couldnt stand the stupids. Id prefer to wait 5 minutes in the lobby and spend my time playing a quality match, rather than spend 30 seconds in the lobby and waste 10 minutes on a shit game...

I had a game last night where Town has all the OP roles except Trans, and had 10 players in it. Our Hex Master was the first death, and the Potion Master was jailed N1 and didn’t say shit in Jail. Coven still won, because despite being stacked the Town was hot garbage and passively bumbled their way into a loss.

In a different game that same night, I (crusader) tried to push up someone who refused to claim for a Psychic vision, and the Vigilante shot me for “random lynching”.

This kind of thing is a common occurrence in Coven. The paywall DOES NOT keep the stupid people out.

I would say it should be free, because people who payed for dlc are probably pissed off; can't play it right now and not because changing business model. BMG need to figure out what to do to not have completely dead DLC, which really, really sucks. Ranked Coven has been never played by anyone.

making coven free, wont get the ranked crew to stop playing ranked. The ranked crew will also split into coven/classic ranked players.
Classic all any would die cos everyone would be in coven all any (except for the ''coven role mechanics are too confusing'' crew).
The hardcore VIP players would probly quit cos the quality of games would drop dramatically.
Coven classic and Mafia Returns would be just as dead as they are now within 3-6 months.
Coven ranked would really be the only mode that gains any long term benefit from making coven free. (Except then the Classic Ranked crew can push the devs to integrate coven roles into classic ranked)

It really boggles my mind that people are content to play the mafia version to save less than the price of two burgers at McDonald's. Considering how detested the mafia roles are by many players (including myself), I'd think people would be flooding to coven. I guess people don't realize how much better Coven is?
