Why does Vet autolose against WW

I had saved two alerts into the late game knowing that if I had them against WW it would be powerful. But then I auto-lost the 1v1. They didn't know my role since I hadn't killed anyone yet and the best they could get was a draw. Why is this a thing?

idk man, the game is broken...
it also doesn't automatically end in cases such as:
1. i was a medium and 2 mafs left
2. i was a retri and 1 witch 1 maf left

if vet and ww die its a draw, its harder as ww and ww will kill vet either way win meaning ww wins.
the two scenarios dont end because a draw shouldnt happen.

You and the werewolf died because:

A Werewolf has Basic defense and his maul/rampage ability is a Powerful attack.
While a Veteran is on alert, you deal a Powerful attack to your visitors while having Basic defense.

So, in conclusion,

-Since the werewolf's powerful attack can kill those with a basic defense or below, that caused the Veteran to die.
-Since the veteran's alert (powerful attack) can kill those with a basic defense or below, that caused the Werewolf to die.

Thus, ending with a draw.

Now, in spite of these circumstances, if the Werewolf STILL won, my best guess is because a Werewolf has a significantly smaller win rate than a town role, thus allowing the Werewolf to auto-win even though you both were dead.

Vet has no way of winning this, no matter what he does, wheres the WW could theoritically win should the Vet not alert. Therefore, WW has a higher chance of winning and is given the win to it, as draw would be unfair, considering WW is in this scenario the stronger role.
