Every role can be fun, its always a personal matter.
To me no role is not fun, despite I do not like being Serial Killer that much.

EDIT: My tired mind did not catch the "not" so I wrote and voted based on the fun factor and not the negative there-of.

My most memorable wins have been as executioner. Which I probably have an 4:1 win/lose ratio with (counting exe-turned jester as losses). So I would say that's one of my favorites.
Just so fun to manipulate town into lynching your target, or heck I've had "friendly Exe" games where I worked with town to fight evil and they promised me my sacrifice toward the end, and every "friendly exe" game I've had -- the people have delivered on their sacrifice.

Most people are skeptic of the exe, and I've had many jailor waste an exe on me as executioner (as I'd already of won anyway, despite being dead).

Still prob my favorite, however.

Witch my second favorite (another neutral evil, heh). Of all the games I've played, I've only been betrayed by evils maybe three times, for whatever reasons, in recent memory of the dozen or so games I've had as witch, I've lost two, because of smart townies T_T. The bubble, plus the consig abilities, and the whole control thing. No wonder a whole expansion was based off them.

I have a special place for the Medium role in my heart too (first ever role I played in this game), and talking to the dead (if they're not salty) is a fun pasttime to do at night.

disguiser and framer are so underpowered

The main role I dislike is the Mafioso. The only reason for the existence of the Mafioso is so that the Godfather doesn't get screwed over when role blocked.
