Chat not scrolling

On Unity the chat will not scroll from time to time. It seems to happen mostly after opening and closing the chatlog.

No. After the chatlog is closed. But I have also noticed it during judgment phase.

Also noticed multiple people in various games saying "why is the chat not auto-scrolling?".

Does it stop scrolling after you scrolled up, or even without that?

Even without scrolling. It seems like sometimes it just simply stops auto-scrolling. I haven't found any discernible pattern as to what's causing it, whilst reproducing.

It appears that the linked user might have scrolled up a bit and then would new messages not cause the chat to scroll down. I believe it would be intended for the chat to not scroll when the displayed messages are not on the bottom.

The problem is that it then doesn't scroll anymore all game.

I can confirm. My chat stopped scrolling as well. There's no discernible pattern but I think it starts to work during latter days like day 5, but this could be random. I have exited the game numerous times. It happens on classic/ranked but I haven't tried other gamemodes, I assume there's no difference. Also, no. I have no scrolled up and it's just getting stuck there, I will 100% be scrolled all the way down to the bottom yet it gets stuck as if I've scrolled up. I use the alt+cntrl+b or whatever the hotkey is to force scroll it down, but it still doesn't continue the autoscroll.

This has happened to me as well. I was logging on here to report it.

It does not scroll when chat log is closed (to Jerme). But it seems to happen after the chatlog has been opened and then closed, and it then does not scroll for the remainder of the game making it impossible to follow the game because it is a text based game and when you cannot type because you are constantly being forced to scroll down in order to try and follow the conversation, it is just a big mess.


Please post when the unity is finally in a halfway decent form so players will know when it would be a playable game again. Forcing steam platform users to be guinea pigs for testing is total bs as well. Most companies treat their players who financial support the company better than the free players. BMG has done the exact opposite.

This isn't a bug that was present in prior Unity builds when it was still in Beta, so I assume it got triggered by a recent tweak. Steam users aren't forced to be guinea pigs, since Unity was in Beta for 2 months before going live, and most things that happen now, much like what happened in Flash and what happens in every other game, really, is feedback or bugs that have been missed by the Devs and the public are now getting fixed/implemented, which, sometimes can mess with other stuff. That's the risk with any game that gets patches, even basic content patches can mess with other stuff.

This is solely because of ports. Porting one version doesn't make it ported on another version. The beta was done on Steam, because it's easier to run a Beta on Steam without users being forced to beta test something. You can't do that on web. And now that it's live on Steam, they can work on porting the game to the webbrowser. It's not as simple as you'd imagine.
