The Silver Hand (The Castle)

/stand up and advance down the tunnel

The group continues down the tunnel for a while, finally reaching the end. There's another stone ladder. Climbing up the ladder, they find themselves in a dark, concealed space. Kind of like a closet. They can see the outline of a door, through which light penetrates.

/open the door a crack and look outside

Sliphy opens the door just a little. He can see that the room it opens out into is some sort of dungeon. There's several cells with iron bars. Nobody seems to be in the room. At least, not outside of the cells.

Leo emerges from the smaller room to find himself in a damp, unpleasant room. The entirety of the area reeks of death and decay. This seems to be the castle’s dungeon. The walls are made of stone, and the two large cells of the dungeon are blocked off by thick iron bars.

There’s only one prisoner in the dungeon right now. That is, only one living prisoner. Leo spots him in the left cell, lying asleep on a wooden bench within. The prisoner wears a fairly nice black suit which contrasts with the unpleasant surroundings.

There’s a pool of blood in the center of the room, and a skull lying near the corner. The only other exit seems to be a wooden door at the opposite end of the room.

/go to the prisoner
"Who are you?"

Sliphy awakens the prisoner. He sits up, a bit groggy still.

"Huh?"

"Oh... my name is Cadoc. I used to work as a butler here. But now I've been accused of theft. Theft! I've never stolen a thing in my life. But who are you people? I've never seen you in the castle."

[Multiuniverse]

"We're new here. Now, the count wants your suit back, so hand it to us"

[VucubCaquix]

He seems confused and possibly doubtful, but ultimately relents. "I'm in no position to argue."

Cadoc removes his suit, hesitantly. Then he hands it to Sliphy through the bars. There is a fancy shirt and some equally fancy pants.

/take it and go to another part of the dungeon and put it on
/open the dungeon door and crack and see what's outside

Sliphy puts on the butler's clothes.

Then he goes to the door of the dungeon. Opening it, he can see it leads into a hallway. The hallway seems to empty right now, and leads left and right into two different rooms.

/check the left room

Sliphy opens the door to the left room. This room is filled with shelves of books. Every wall except the doors is covered by shelves, and there are two additional shelves in the middle. The red and black carpet doesn’t seem too stylish, but other than that nothing stands out about the room.

Two guards are stationed in the room. One is busy reading a book, while the other paces back and forth. Both wear chain mail and metal helmets, and have swords at their sides.

/check the right room

Sliphy heads to the right door and peeks in. It's a kitchen!

The kitchen seems a little plain for a castle. But it’s still a lot more than most people could afford. Two coal powered ovens, a variety of pots and pans, cooking implements, and other such things are neatly organized throughout the area. There are baskets, tins, jars, and pots on the shelves, all of which have labels. There’s another door to the left of the one Sliphy is peeking through.

There's a pudgy man with a battle axe slobbing over a large hunk of meat. He seems to carry a set of keys on him. There is also a servant in the room, wearing similar clothes to the ones Sliphy acquired. He seems to be preparing food with a large knife.

/enter and smack the one walking around with my shovel aiming to knock him ouy

Sliphy and the gang enter the library. Sliphy takes out his shovel and swings it at the guard pacing the room. Sliphy's swing misses the guard's head and hits him in the shoulder with a clunk.

"Hey!" the guard exclaims, drawing his sword. The other takes notice and does the same, dropping his book on the floor.

/take out hatchet to try to intimidate them

/take out my hatchet and attack him again

Sliphy smacks the guard again with the shovel, this time in the chest. The guard clutches his chest for a second in pain, but then swings at Sliphy, slicing across his arm.

Leo attempts to intimidate the guard by raising his hatchet. The guard hesitates a moment, but isn't dissuaded. He swings at Leo but just barely misses.

Sliphy smacks the guard upside the head with his shovel. The guard collapses on the floor, a huge gash in their head.

The other guard swings his sword at Leo, but misses completely. Ivor pulls out his hatchet.
