Recap: Some jackass in all pink, the host of Total Drama Island Forum Edition was fired after the failed and canned show. He is now in very serious debts and faced bankruptcy when Jeff Probst offered him to host a Forum Survivor. He immediately accept in hope of getting some money to pay off all his debts, though it’d be nice to also get some extra money from the whole ordeal...
Setting:
The Basics: Survivor is a game of lying and deception where you make alliances and vote each other out in attempt to become the Sole Survivor. Everyone is divided into tribes that compete in challenges, where the losers go to Tribal Council and vote someone out of the game. Once there are a certain amount of people left in the game, the tribes merge and the challenges become individual based- where one person wins immunity to the vote and everyone else is at risk. You can also search for Hidden Immunity Idols which can keep you safe from being voted out. Once there are only 3 people left in the game, the power shifts to a jury made up of people who were voted out later in the game. The jury then votes to decide which of the three finalists wins the Title of Sole Survivor and the 1 Million Pound (Yes Pound not Dollar) grand prize.
The Phases: Each phase will last approximately 24 hours. There are two types of phases: Challenge and Tribal. During challenge phases, everyone competes in the challenge by following the directions posted by myself. Some challenges will last longer, but most will be done within 24 hours. During the Tribal Phase, the tribes that win immunity have free time, whereas the tribes who lost must use this time to strategize with their allies and determine who to vote out of the game. You will have 24 hours to get your votes in to me, and afterwards the votes will be revealed and whoever has the most is out of the game.
Special Mechanic: Every contestant are given 5 gold coins each (lore wise: they were charged some money for them because apparently the coins are made from “pure 14th century gold”). They can use some to bribe the host each challenge to give them/their team a certain advantage. The bribery is individually so if 2 people on team red bribes host with 3 coins each but 1 person on blue bribes host with 4 coins host will help the person on blue. The host will take your coins anyway even if your bribe isn’t successfully. You are only informed if your bribe is successful. Coins cannot be given to other players but can, however, be earned.
The hunt for the hidden immunity idol: Once per phase set (so challenge and tribal council) each player may search for the hidden immunity idol. Some locations will require further actions and some actions may have negative consequences. If you have a Hidden Immunity Idol, you can play it before the votes are revealed to make any votes cast against you not count, sending the person with the next highest amount of votes out of the game instead. You may play an idol on yourself or play it for someone else if you so choose. The last time you may play an idol is when there are 5 people left in the game. Legacy Advantage may be in play. Super Idol may be in play. You may choose to set up a reactionary idol play with the host; i.e. "If X plays an idol I will play my idol as well, otherwise I won't play it." You may do so via Private Message or Discord Message and can make it as broad or specific as you wish.
Rules:
1) All ToS Forum rules apply. Harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia, or any other generally unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated.
2) Be active. Joining this game will likely be a 5-6 week commitment with something happening in the game just about every day. Do not join this game unless you are confident you be active for most of this time. I understand that things come up and we all have some semblance of a life outside this forum, but please let me know of such occurrences so I'm not wondering why you're inactive. Failure to vote or participate in a challenge before the deadline will result in a prod, which you have 24 hours to respond to. Failure to respond to a prod or receiving your 2nd prod will result in automatic replacement from the game. In addition, failure to vote before the 24 hour deadline will result in you automatically voting for yourself. If you are anticipating an absence, you may send in your vote ahead of time if you wish. There may be exceptions to the prod rule should you notify me that you will be away for a period of time
3) ABSOLUTELY NO SCREENSHOTS OF ANY KIND! This is a game of lying and deception. If you can easily prove that someone is lying by screenshotting a conversation, it defeats the purpose of lying and deceiving.
4) Do not copy-paste any private messages from the host without prior permission. An exception to this rule is if it's for a challenge.
5) No outside communication or cheating allowed. It will not be tolerated. If you would like to create a private alliance chat on discord, that's fine, but I must be added to any and all such chats that are created.
6) Don't be salty. It's just a game.
