Oxygen is a Luxury: Deep Breaths (Win!)

The door slides open and you hold your breath as you step in. Inside there is a tall creature slowly swirling its fingers in a circle, as if repeatedly brushing somethings invisible aside. Below is a mass of monsters, but each one has a box handcuffed to them. They seem to drag them along to the middle of the command center where a pile had begun. You spy the key laying on top of a monitor close to you.

You grab the keys and begin to move towards the switch. You move withing 10 feet and then suddenly the tall creature stops waving its hand and begins to turn around.

You stand completely still as it turns to you. It's faceless expression stares at you for a few seconds before going back to waving it's hand to the horde.

You enter the key and sirens begin to wail through the command centers. Computers begin flashing red as the tall beast whips around to you. You slam your hand down on a large button and the siren intensity increases. The beast grabs a computer and hurls it at your head. You duck and the computer smashes into the wall behind you. The beast then moves towards you, along with the horde, so still carrying their boxes.

/run to launch pad, open door, and gtfo

Tripping as you sprint out of the room, you dash into the computer section. The sirens continue to wail as the creature, running on all on both its hands and feet, is close behind you.

You fire off a few rounds, but it is moving to quickly for you to land a shot. You begin running again but now it is with 10 feet.

More shots follow as you run out of the Crew Quarters into the Launch Pad. A few of the shots land on to the beast, but it does not deter it at all. You turn and see the horde flowing out of Maintenance and as they spy you, they rush toward you.

You sprint to the rover, which has the switch, but as you close in on it, you feel hands wrap around your ankle. You fall to the ground and see the tall creature hanging on to your leg with an iron grip. The hoard from maintenance is now 10 yards away from you and the horde begins to pour out of the crew quarters as well.

/bash fingers with gun and gtfo

You slam the butt of the gun into its hand, but it doesn't let go. The horde is now closing to striking distance.

Shoot all my bullets into its head, and turn on rover to gtfo

You squeeze the trigger and at point blank range, your bullets tear into its skull, and its grip immediately lets go. You scramble to your feet ad sprint to the rover. You are within mere feet when a zombie grabs your arm. You try to shake it but then another grabs your helmet. You continue to struggle as the horde starts to over take you.

Using every ounce of strength you have left, you try to shake off the the zombies grappling you. You manage to get your hand free, and use it to dive for the button. The blast door begin to open, sucking out the atmosphere. The horde tries to keep its hold of you, but one by one they are sucked out on the moon surface. You grab onto a handle on the rover and desperately hang on while chaos erupts. After a moment the atmosphere equalizes and you dive into the driver seat of the rover. You slam on the gas and tear past the many creature now littering the surface.

You quietly think to yourself as you put as much distance as possible between you and the station. You continue driving until you realize how bright it has become. You turn around and see a massive mushroom cloud form with debris floating free through the air. Its raw destruction is absolutely silent, and as more minor explosions follow, you turn back to driving. How it must look on Earth right now.

An hour later you find yourself at the other moon base. After clearing it and making sure no creature followed you, you find the mess hall and take off your suit. Following a brief ransacking of the kitchen, you find a handle of whiskey and a single unbroken glass. After stretching and finding a unbroken chair, you take a seat and let all of the emotions flood through you. As you pour yourself a glass, you wonder how long it will be before they send some help. A mushroom cloud on the moon was probably a good way to get their attention.

Well that's the end of Oxygen is a Luxury! I hope everyone enjoyed themselves despite the game going on a bit longer than I had planned. This was due to this semester being busier than I thought it be, email notification stopped working so I didn't get notified about new messages, and I didn't realize how different a game in space would be to host. Since Chubby was able to activate and destroy the station before it could be used by the creatures, the humans have won the day! I do hope this was enjoyable for everyone, but I would like to hear your thoughts and concerns, so I can adjust for the next game.

Vucub pulled a gun on me because they needed my helmet, and a gunfight ensued. The wounds I got prevented me from being able to run, which is what most likely got me killed later on.
