The child shrugs and shakes their head.

The kid shakes their head, but holds up 9 fingers.

The dancer enters the galley and sees a lone sailor cleaning the galley counter. He creeps up on the sailor and observes him working earnestly. "Do you need help, Sir?", the dancer asks while taking a bow. "Must be lonely working by yourself. I'll keep you company. You can call me Fen."

"How 'bout cha lift some chests out here and I'll help ya' look for it"

Are there any personal belongings lying around

There are not.

The dancer enters the galley and sees a lone sailor cleaning the galley counter. He creeps up on the sailor and observes him working earnestly. "Do you need help, Sir?", the dancer asks while taking a bow. "Must be lonely working by yourself. I'll keep you company. You can call me Fen."

The sailor is outside the galley. The counter is essentially a long "window" in the wall of the galley, facing the main deck.

"How 'bout cha lift some chests out here and I'll help ya' look for it"

"My thanks for the offer, but I am fine."

The child begins to poke Takumi a bit more before smiling and clapping their hands.

As the dancer enters the main deck and sees a lone sailor cleaning the galley counter. He creeps up on the sailor and observes him working earnestly. "Do you need help, Sir?", the dancer asks while taking a bow. "Must be lonely working by yourself. I'll keep you company. You can call me Fen."

The main deck is now very populated. The older man who was talking to the person on the helm pushes past you as he heads below decks. The dark clouds are now very close.

One of the men in the rigging scampers down and grabs the one cleaning the galley counter. They have a quiet, hurried conversation, and then the latter heads into the rigging. The former begins making for the Captain's Cabin.

The child begins to poke Takumi a bit more before smiling and clapping their hands.

She's turned her attention back to painting.

The child closes his eyes before putting his arms out as if to say 'tada!'

Because they look like Takumi now. "What's your name, kiddo?"

They eagerly await their response.

The Mercenary steps back and instinctively grabs the grip of the gun on his waist. What the actual fuck was he looking at. He was not getting paid to deal with this type of thing. Hell, he wasn’t even getting paid. He had to forcibly stop himself from drawing the pistol. He couldn’t kill a kid, and he couldn’t endanger the civilian right next to him. Was this thing even a kid? Or was that another face it stole? Doesn’t matter. It’s some sort of monster and he doesn’t want to deal with any more monsters. Never again, he had told himself. So why now?

The doppelTumi claps their hands. "Wait, can you talk?"

“No. Stop that. I don’t. Don’t do that.” My god, it acts like a child. It looks like him and it sounds like him but it acts like a child. He shivers at the thought of it, but he steps forward, reaches out, and grabs the creature by the arm. He has to get it out of here, this is too weird and if it’s seen, people could panic. In a soft voice he mumbles, “Come with me, now. We can’t have you scaring anyone.”

[BRVR]

DoppelTumi nods and smiles before following them. "Can't scare!" They poke around their new body

The main deck is in something of a state of chaos. PCs are everywhere. The door to the Captain's Cabin hangs open.

The Wolf Dancer jumps around the two doppelgangers and starts to dance. The mask of the dancer starts to shimmer in black and white rays. Glowing red eyes shined through the mask as the performer danced, and the eyes seemed to be fixated on the Mercenary.

/head over and knock on the captain's cabin door

The Mercenary drags the child-creature below deck, and down to the cargo hold, looking for somewhere quiet. “We’re gonna have to talk about this, kid. I’m sorry, but I can’t have you running around with my face. Or anyone else’s for that matter. You could really scare or hurt people. And if that happens, you’ll be in danger too.”

It's already open. You can see three men inside. The Captain speaks to one in rapid tones, looking grim. The other, the one who looks youngest, appears bored. He lazily walks past you and heads below decks.
