As the quailing continued between the players, an argument had begun to flare.

"What do you mean me?! This is completely beneath me, I refuse!". Discussion had swivelled to the Goose as a potential 'victim', and so he defended himself.

"It's not about refusal. We're voting you it seems." as the Dragon looks to those around him for confirmation. Some give nothing, others a brisk nod.

"Pah! Like I'd agree to anything. Why do you want me on the block, anyway?" the Goose interrogated further.

"Well you certainly don't look like you want a duel." the Dragon argued. "That's primarily the reason."

The Goose goes to raise their hand in response, but looks around them instead. The Dragon's argument was very persuasive, and even behind the masks it seemed to be having an effect. The Goose didn't really have an argument back, either. Frustration began to grow in the Goose, knowing he would be fighting some nameless individual and likely die. Frustrations turns to hatred.

In a stifled rage, the Goose responded "I... absolutely refuse! You can't make me!". The staff of the court almost go to say something, but put themselves away before they speak out. The Dragon answered in their place:

"I'm fairly sure the lord will."

"Oh? Really?". The Goose's expression turned a mix of grim and gleeful. "Alright then. Guess I'll vote too."

The Dragon tilted his head in notable confusion. But before he could offer a further reaction, a instance of pain shot through his chest. The excruciating pain and light blinding himself, the others watched in horror as a concentrated lightning bolt struck through the Dragon, arching from his hand. The Goose's hateful expression hidden by his own mask turned to mad glee as a second hand joined into the attack, furthering its strength as the great bolt of lightning continued to assault the Dragon, the light blinding on-lookers.

The Dragon, no longer able to function from the thunder coursing through his veins, experienced mild pain outweighed by the blinding light. Thought was overruled. Movement was quashed. Before long, all feeling was gone. Soon after, the Dragon was too.

For by the time the 'argument' had settled, the Dragon had been turned into a harmless goose. HONK.

A brisk laugh turned to a cough in response to the smoke. The Goose (the player) turned to look at the others.

"It was - and IS - beneath me."

The Goose has revealed themselves as the Sorcerer!
The Dragon has been magically ~~killed!~~ HONK'D
