game ending

There was a game where I was a pirate and the arsonist was still alive with two town, but town auto won the game, even though me and the arsonist could've gotten kills. Not sure if this was intended, but it doesn't seem very logical.

In which mode were you playing? COuld it be that you've played lover's mode and that the Arsonist had one of the living townies as lover?
The Pirate is not taken into account as oposing to any faction.
