Lovers - Plagueberear didn't die of broken heart

My lover was the plaguebearer. I died to the plague but he lived and continued to win the game. Not sure if this is how it is supposed to work or not...

I am nto sure either. Maybe it is intended then when someone (accidently) kills their lover that the will survive, but I have heard of some incidents in which one of he couple dies and the other stayed alive until the end, but counting as Jester when the victory is determined.
