Hey Guys,

i think taunting should be removed from ranked games as it is a hidden communication tool. I give you three examples that i saw happen in ranked games.

- a jailor can tell his prisoner " if i am cleaned i will hex you into a frog"

- it can also be agreed as a sign on who the maf will attack if they communicate with a witch to avoid whispering

- dead people will hex suspicious or confirmed evils to inform the town.

in my opinion, i dont really think that removing the taunt feature from ranked is a solution to this "problem"
it can be used to throw off the town as well, and it wont be used in every single ranked/normal match

i just dont see it as an issue

Yeah which is why taunts should be available with MP. That way everyone can use them, and not just people who can/will fork over real cash for it

Dead people shouldn't taunt.

Ranked should completely ban taunts.

you actually cant taunt during the start of the day, and can only taunt in the day chat phase or the night phase. So your order is a bit out of whack

Should i give my usual spiel about buying everything in the shop for MP, so you can get 300 TP for free every week? Thats 6 taunts per week you can buy as a FTP, if you grind enough

Yeah we’ve all heard your spiel, and I already told you that while it works for you, who has already done the grinding, it’s not a solution in the long meantime between now and the week after the grind, for people who haven’t bought everything yet.

The problem is enabling dead people and bmed people to taunt...

Blackmsiled person cant whisper...but can taunt.

They are no longer used in high elo since there's thos anti cheating vibe...but some still do...
It's actually pretty sad.

Taunts can easily be abused as a form of communication when it isn't available to everyone. Ranked should be based off of skill and hardship, not paying money.

I've seen people arguing for it by saying anyone can technically taunt, but honestly I don't think they realize just how easy it is to have things go your way with taunts. Yes, theoretically an evil role could random taunt when a townie said they would taunt for X reason. But when someone says something is gonna happen after X event, and it happens, well...what can you do about it?
It's not like you can stop other players from taunting. So people would give in pretty easily to something like that in a ranked setting.

So... if they had more than 1 season every 2 years (which is how it feels ) everyone would have taunts from their season rewards, and it wouldnt be a problem for you?

I got scrolls from the cauldron recently, you’re just really lucky. Or you have the max amount of scrolls you can carry for multiple roles and the game is forced to give you currency.

It started out with me just getting scrolls and and a few skins/houses. Now I get taunts and houses

either way, I remember getting taunts as season rewards, maybe 30 for silver and more for gold, even more for diamond and still more for masters? idk the season started that long ago I cant remember what the tier rewards were, maybe we should all be jumping on the ''end the season already'' thread to lvl out the playing field a bit. Personally I think a season should last 2 or 3 months.....

Support. Taunting should be removed from ranked completely.

..unless taunts exist to share information beyond the grave (despite that being what a medium is supposed to do, no?), but I've always thought that taunts only existed for the lols. In that case, they don't belong in ranked anyway as it's a serious game mode.
