I don't get that logic. Town's objective is to "lynch all criminals and evildoers", by that logic they should also lose in a draw, right?

Sorry, I thought OP said NK, but it said NE.

The draw doesn't count as a draw for an NE, just as much as a draw would be a loss for other factions if the game draws out but there was a NE win.

NE has different win/draw/loss conditions. Therefor, when a game draws out and they haven't completed their goal, they lose.

Draws only count for the factions that draw, if you already lost, or didnt get hung as jest or exe your target as exe, then you lose
