Today in a game, in day phase, sheriff said "I will taunt the person if he is found out as guilty, if I die tonight". I was the SK and he checked me and I killed him. Next day, he taunted me to send message to other townies. I think it is an absolute cheating. His in-game name was '[redacted]' and his ID was [redacted]. I do not write to report him but I want the developers to remove taunts, or at least people should not be able to taunt when they are dead. Also, blackmailed people should not be able too.

Now, taunts can be used by anyone, living or dead, so an executioner could use a taunt on their target or a jester use a taunt on themselves. It's not really cheating to taunt people like that, since anyone can do it.

I don't know why you are being brushed off. This is actually more than a legitimate argument for getting rid of taunts, not to mention it also kind of nerfs Medium for no reason. Winning as SK is already kind of difficult enough without certain people giving themselves immunity because you can't kill them without revealing yourself, taunts don't really add much to the game anyway outside of being a fun little perk but if they can be used like this, then that is a serious red flag.

Second, yes anyone can do it, if they HAVE taunts. Do you think that in-game payments should affect the game?

I don't know what matches you're getting, or if you're meaning this just for ranked, but in my games this is just not the case. I play CAA around the clock daily and I'd estimate taunts being used effectively in at least something like 1 in 5 of my games.

besides, how do you know it was the sheriff that taunted you? I mean just seeing a sheriff type that, I woulda taunted fuck outta you (or whoever he visited) as soon as he died, just to get you lynched (even if you were town), or to get TIs wasting a night on you at least....

But every game I do that, no one is insta lynched cos i taunted them...
