So. We all know the struggle as mafia when there are 3 or even 4 TS. You barely have any claim space, and if you do claim, you're bound to get a cc and everyone says 'guilty, if inno exe the other!'. I get that this is partly the meta of the game now, but it feels like it dilutes the gameplay for both town AND mafia. I feel no joy in being town with 4 TS. I like to do something. I like to find evils as town by scumreading.
Also it seems like 4TS games show up way more than 4TP games, or even 4TK games. Perhaps even, 5TI games. Why is this? The problem with 4TS being so common is that there are almost too many TS roles.
TI - 4 (+2 for Coven)
TK - 2 (+1/2 outside of Ranked)
TP - 2 (+2 for Coven)
TS - 5
In normal ranked, out of the 13 roles available, 5 are TS. That's an 38% chance of getting TS. I'm not going into the details of the chances of 4TS games over 4TP games, but I think the 'problem' is noticable. Coven is much more balanced in this way since the chances of getting TS is much lower.

Long story short, make TS a bit more rare. The removal of Retri would help a lot (at least in Ranked), but this is the second-best option. ToS already uses slots and percentages, so in theory BMG could easily lower these percentages for TS.
I wish to get lots of replies with new insights for this! Maybe a bit more on the mechanical part, or how else to balance the 'problem of TS' (in all fairness though, the way TS is instantly confirmable is more problematic than the rarity, but this is a short-term fix)
