I just got reported 8 times from 1 game where a hacker said the N word, I called him out in dead chat and then after the game i get notified of 8 reports against ME??? Someone needs to sort this shit out its fucking stupid, I already had someone hack my game the other day now another hacking to get my account banned...

It's not BMG's fault that people report other people. If you did nothing to constitute a guilty verdict, there is absolutely nothing to worry about.

As for the racist in that game: he'll be taken care of by the Trial Mods/Judges asap.

I wasn't reported in that game though, the reports came after and he even said "Matt Damon: might just hack you to make myself feel better".

So it wasn't other people that reported me, he hacked the game to report me 8 times.

I know he is a hacker because i was also hacked at the weekend causing my game to freeze a few times, a new friend appeared without me accepting and asked me if I was sorry and now whenever I start a new game my name is by default set to 'Chillax was here'

First off: If you suspect someone hacked you: Change your password.
You have been here since before the breach and we did tell EVERYONE and e-mail EVERYONE to change their password. I can't see any PW changing logs for you, so for goodness sake: Secure your account and change the password.

Second: Reports cannot be made AFTER a game has already ended. People can only get reported ingame (or duplicated by jurors), but keep in mind that reports can take about 20 minutes to actually be generated (after the game ends).

Besides giving info, we can't do anything else for you. If you didn't break rules, the report will get inno'd. And if you change your password, people can't log into your account.

That is 8 other people that got reported that game. Pay close mind to the fact that you can even click on said names and get taken to their report.

You can check all reports filed against you by PMing TrialBot and putting the word "all" in the body of the message.

You can change your standard username ingame.

As for the rest: The thing is that the database got breached late december and apparently a lot of people refrained to change their password after the breach, meaning these hackers had 6 months to decrypt people's password.

We've tried every single way we could to inform everyone (forum announcements, e-mails, ingame announcements, etc etc).
The only thing we can do now is appeal the people that got hacked IF the information on our side matches up to someone being hacked and keep telling people to change their passwords. Not just once, but at least once every 3 months. And make sure it's preferably at least 16 characters long so it is harder to decrypt.

I know i can change my username but it doesn't really matter as I play as default, I just don't get how he is able to hack the game so it appears every single game in the name line.

A couple things. I was in the same game you were in. Like they said, the user either used a script like they said, or they manually reported us all with both accounts (since I'm pretty sure you have to be reported twice for it to go through). Hopefully the mods develop something for this in the future, so that if anyone has more than a certain amount of reports in a certain game, their account automatically gets suspended. I say this so that the report logs don't get clogged anymore than they already are.

Secondly, the fact that your game freezes doesn't mean you were hacked. My game freezes all the time, either because the ToS server isn't connecting properly to your computer or something, or maybe your own wifi glitched for a bit and it's more noticeable in ToS because it has a different connection method or something. But it happens to me all the time, and it's not from being hacked.

As far as your username, did you go to the screen where you change your default username and delete it?

Lastly, as for this particular player, I do believe they hacked the system somehow, since their main account kept getting jester, and their secondary one kept getting some kind of mafia. I wonder how many accounts they have though, since they had at least 4 that I saw.

As for the game freezes, it happened 3 games in a row, I would enter a game and just after the role selection or Day 1 my game would freeze, I've never had it happen more than once in a row and after the 3rd time he whispered me from an account i never friended so I can only assume he kept logging into my account to disconnect me.

As far as I know, they just keep cycling through accounts that never changed their password after the original breach. They started with a bunch of well-known Ranked players and are apparently moving on to other accounts.

It's a shame there is people in the community who feel the need to ruin it for others, but luckily we were fairly quick in noticing so we can minimize the trouble for the community as quickly as possible by telling them to spread the word: Change your password.

I've said it like 10 times in this thread alone, but be sure to spread it to anyone and everyone you know that plays (or used to play) the game: change change change.

As for the freezing: We've heard some signals of people "freezing" out when said other person is logging into their account.

It is a hacker. I am also in that image. By the name 'Blitz'. My account was banned and I have reached out to info@blankmediagames.com but with no luck. Chisuka we stand together against this.

Can you still use said banned account to log in to the forum?

Cause if so, log in, change your password, and post an Appeal. The Admins will then check out the legitimacy of the hacked claim and Appeal if need be.
