"So You Think You Can Write"
Spoiler:
What Is This Event?
In 2015, a writing contest was held. Users submitted their own stories for the roles which existed at that time. Winners earned their place on the Wiki to be the official stories! On June 6th of 2017, BlankMediaGames released the Coven expansion which included new roles. Now we need stories for these new roles which is where you come in!
When Is This Contest?
The contest begins now and runs until July 4th, 2017 at 11:59pm CT. To see how much time you have left to submit your entry, click here to see a countdown! Handy, right?
The Prizes
- Any story accepted to represent a role will receive 300 Town Points
- First place out of all of the stories will receive 1300 Town Points AND a code to unlock the Coven expansion
- Second place out of all of the stories will receive 1300 Town Points
- Third place out of all of the stories will receive 750 Town Points
The Process
- The judges have agreed to the rules. The judges cannot see who has submitted a story until after the contest has ended. The judges cannot submit a story.
- The contest is posted here on the forums and begins immediately.
- Users may begin submitting their stories.
- Once the contest closes, no more submissions will be accepted.
- The judges will rate the stories.
- The title of this thread will be updated when something of interest appears. For example, when the contest ends or when the winners are announced, the title of this thread will display that.
- How long it takes to display the winners will depend on how many submissions there are and how long it takes the judges to rate the stories. Please be patient with our kind volunteers!
- I'll try to update this list when I have time of how many current entries we have for each role. The spreadsheet will state when the list was last updated.
- The winners will be granted their prize.
The Rules
- Users may write about any of the newly released roles. Please note that Plaguebearer and Pestilence will count as one story! Click here to see all of the roles available to write for. Not sure what the roles do? Click here to be taken to a Wiki page which contains all of the role cards.
- The story should contain 150-350 words. If it goes slightly over, that's fine. If it's way over the limit, the story will not be accepted. Click here to go to a website which counts how many words you have!
- The story must describe the individual and how they became that role today.
- Users may only submit 1 story per role.
- Up to 5 stories may be submitted. Please be sure to send all of your stories in 1 message.
- Do not send multiple messages. Once you submit a message, it is final. No exceptions.
How To Submit A Story
Be sure that you understand these rules or you risk being disqualified!
