Ok, I know I am pretty late but I just noticed this and thought I would ask what are your plans for the future of ranked? Thank you in advance and sorry if you didn't want this question.

This isn't this type of AMA for this thread, as none of the staff are Developers, nor do we provide input/insight into the game. You'd have to ask the Developers.

What's your favourite and least favourite role?

Least is arso. You either get very lucky and douse people who do not get killed by the mafia and/ or mafia doesn't try to kill you night 1 and the spy calls you out... or you lose.

Favorite is Lookout (non coven). It's also another lucky role. Either you see people visiting or you dont. It's definitely one of those roles that you can carry town with. Lookouts can also confirm who's town and who's lying.

For the current judges, what do you individually view as the most important report types?

For every judge past and present, can you please give Dobby a sock? I've been here so long.

At the top of my personal priorities would be handling Cheating and Gamethrowing, although all report types are important. I do also like hunting for Inappropriate IGNs with my buddy TrialBot.

Who out of you guys are looking forward to potential new content that will most likely be the next thing for ToS after this year?

Once the unity stuff is done and dusted, it'll be nice to get some new gameplay content. Looking forward to the upcoming "Town Traitor" gamemodes, as well as the balance changes for Ranked (it's currently a little too town-sided for my liking, and has gotten somewhat stale).

If you could design a list of "dream patch notes" with every change you'd want to see made to Town of Salem, what would be on it? Top 5 major changes if you don't want to write the whole list.

So many possibilities for things that could be added/changed, it's hard to choose...

- End Ranked Season 4. All future seasons should be 3 months long again, with at least 1 minor change in between each season (preventing Retributionist from spawning in Ranked could be the change for Season 5).
- Fix the bug in Lovers gamemode where the game forgets to factor you in for victory conditions if your lover disconnects from the game. This is overdue a fix.
- Remove the Transporter vs Medusa stalemate detector which automatically awards a Coven victory. This shouldn't exist.
- Expand the stalemate detector for all non-combatant town roles (all Town Investigative roles plus Medium) vs a factional evil, so that the evil role wins automatically.
- Merge Framer and Forger's abilities into one umbrella counterfeiter role, keeping the role name Forger. This role would be able to choose whether to frame or forge (can't use both in the same night).

What's your favourite and least favourite role?

I've never played Forum Mafia, so can't critique the roles for that. For Town of Salem, there are definitely some roles I prefer to others.

My favourite role would have to be Arsonist, both in general and to play as. Particularly In AllAny modes, where you can fly under the radar then ignite when everybody is least expecting it.

My least favourite role to play as would have to be Framer. I find it has the least utility of all the Mafia roles, and in Ranked I mostly just use it to fool LO/Spy combo into mislynching their Town Protective(s) (and usually being killed afterwards) rather than trying to trick Sheriffs/Investigators. Strategising night actions is a big part of the gameplay, so roles that can accomplish very little at night are the least fun in my book.

I'd say my least favourite role to exist would have to be Psychic: the Town Investigative that doesn't investigate, but receives information that you have no control over because it's determined by RNG. You'll often get Pirate in your evil vision, which generally isn't even an enemy to the Town. It's a role I'd quite like to see get a rework of some kind in the future, into a role that incorporates strategy rather than luck.

in the UK, lemonade and other "-ade" drinks are made fizzy, and I'm not a fan of fizzy drinks. I do love a good smoothie or refreshing glass of OJ, though.

I really enjoy playing all 6 of the Coven roles, but my favorite one is Coven Leader

It is somewhat difficult to decide on a least favorite. I'd have to say it's either Vampire, Jester, Lookout, or Escort.

Remove forum reports (edit; by this I mean the Report Players subforum) completely. And make it so I have to click less buttons to move/merge/delete posts.

The Bomber role is a role that has been used as Neutral Killing, Neutral Evil, and Neutral Benign (or their equivalents) in various different Forum Mafia games. The bomber role works as follows:

Each night, pick someone that you think is going to get attacked. If they do in fact get attacked, your bomb begins counting down, starting (usuaslly) at 3 if I remember correctly. So the first day after you sucessfuly pick an attacked target, the game is told "A fuse has been lit! A bomb will blow up in 3 days!". Once the timer reaches 0, everyone except the bomber dies.

The only way to diffuse the bomb is to find and kill the bomber (who, like the Serial Killer, is night immune).

The reason this role sucks big time is because, like someone said above, it encoures the mafia to stop playing mafia, which is wack. The mafia doesn't want to get blown up, and there's a bunch of them that the town might think are the bomber. So, the most effective way to kill the bomber, from a strictly "kill-the-bomber" oriented way of thinking, is for the entire mafia team to out themselves, or maybe for one or two members of the mafia team to out themselves to direct conversation towards killing the bomber. This, obviously, feels like a huge punch in the gut if you're on the mafia team because suddenly you're required to sacrifice one to two of your teamates or else you lose. There's people who don't like Third Party roles whatsoever (like myself) because they can be hard to balance and often times skew games heavilly in favor of either the Mafia or the Town but almost never in favor of themselves. The Bomber is just the epitome of this.

By what definition of semi-open. I think there's a lot of VFM's that are very balanced that don't feel like VFM's.

I have a few ?s that have been on my mind since b4 the great purge... but first let me just explain to you that English isn’t my first langauge so if I make mistakes I am very sorry. Ok

1. My question is for Veeena and I want to know y ur noob at rs? Like y? I play ToS and rs at the same time I use my hands and toes to play both at once and still manage to only get suspend on one game? Wtf do u even have infernal?

2. My next question is for any of the following: Shadow (Best judge of all time), Meandripickle (self proclaimed Adam Sandler lover, historic judge), Jerme (big hunk, loves long walks on the beach) or Naru (likes pinapple on pizza, wears crocs) howeed you guys think about the Coronavirus? Is it effecting Howeed much you play ToS? Do you think new strats will develop Bc of the Rona?

3. My next question is for Alex04231683616 (Codeword MERKMAN) do you agree that despair deserves footrubs but instead of using ur hands u should use ur feet too? Obviously Naru will have to give full foot inspection beforehand but do u think she deserves it? Please answer without using the letters e or q.

By what definition of semi-open. I think there's a lot of VFM's that are very balanced that don't feel like VFM's.

by semi-open i mean of alignments, stuff like random town, town support, etc.

Perfect is almost an impossible standard to reach when there's some degree of RNG involved.

I got you fam. My main is currently hunting red chins for the pet and Herbi at the same time. On my hardcore im getting ready for whip grind with wild pies by cooking and fishing. 180+ demons in, no whip yet.

Idk what panera bread bowl is but broccoli cheddar doesn't sound all that appetizing from the name of it. I don't have anything against thick soups but I don't care much for cheese in soups.
