Stuck in select name screen

If when entering in the select name screen, the app is in background because I had to switch to another one for a second, the game gets stuck in that screen forever.
You can still read the chat but can't do anything.

I have an Android OnePlus 5

Backgrounding is a difficult topic and could result into the app behaving differently than when its in the foreground.
