As in, allies in planets. You guys are nowhere near space travel or any amount of technology that we have, perhaps we can catch you all up to the modern day and age.

It's a "class". It's mainly meetings and discussions to help resolve differences between you all. This'll definitely make more sense once we return your memories after we leave here.

Especially to you Josh, I'm not letting you quit on your own goddamn people.

Who knows, maybe this is your chance to claim power instead of pleading to a king to let you do this.

But hey, what do I know? I'm simply a traitor walking the traitor's path, from your point of view.

The tiger and ox companions block the only other exit.

I can't wait to create an alliance with another whole species! We have so much to learn and so much room to grow with each other. This is going to be beautiful! I am practically vibrating with excitment. :)

You act like you have a choice here, old chap.

If you want to fuck off and die, then feel free to later.

The puzzle of putting your world back together relies on all of you cooperating! Once you all become a single nation, or at least a single alliance, then you can pass your rule off to someone else and go drink yourself to death. I couldn't give less of a fuck what you do in the future, but I'm making sure you're gonna do what's needed in the present.

You don't give up on the people who depend on you, you selfish prick! The reason I killed half of my people in that facility is because my brother depended on me to do it! To get us out safe, it was our damn objective! I couldn't have cared less about what happened to me, I was ready to blow my goddamn brains out to get the last kill we needed so he'd be safe!

YOU DON'T GIVE UP ON THOSE THAT YOU LOVE, AND I'M NOT LETTING YOU GIVE UP ON YOUR PEOPLE, YOUR NEIGHBORS, ON ANNCHI, YOUR PLANET!

Josh approaches the two companions, looking for a way through. He tries to dart through an opening, however Rusty swipes a large paw at his face, sending him to the floor in one blow.

He looks, dead...oh, no, he's breathing, unfortunately. Just unconscious.

An alliance?

No thank you.

I plan on remaining neutral.

You're right that the war is going to end.

But I'm not going to end it.

At least not entirely.

I'm just not going to participate in it any further.

I plan on recalling all troops and imposing severe trade sanctions on all warring nations.

Lydia takes her katana off her back and rushes at Shrike. Everyone, including the companions, scampers out of the way. Rusty looks up from watching Josh and bolts after her.

She is about to strike at Shrike when the tiger's jaws latch onto a mouthful of her clothes, pulling her back. Shrike looks at Lydia, and aims the gun in his hand at her head. He then simply spins the gun back and puts it in his holster.

Gun's busted anyways, no thanks to that idiot.

You're fixing it later, by the way.

Anyways, get on the center platform everyone. It's time for new paths to open.

One by one, each conscious emperor clusters on the center platform in the room with their companion. Frederique drags Josh by his ankle until Baachus grips his shirt and finishes the job himself. With everyone on, the roof opens up, and the platform rises.

For the next few weeks, the twelve emperors and empresses of Lin remained under Rehabilitation's care. The day after the experiment's completion, after a good night's rest and shower, each of the rulers received their memories of everything prior to their kidnapping. It is not a blissful thing, of course -- memories of the war, of watching families be torn apart, of watching buildings of high importance fall, of being told of small, promising villages were eaten up by flame...they spend the rest of the day with their companions, going over and over everything they're now remembering.

With their memories in tact, Zyro held those aforementioned classes, getting all twelve to meet and formulate a plan to end the war in its entirety. It wasn't as simple as they had hoped, as they had received news from Shrike about the state of their nations. Still, they did their best, and came up with a plan everyone eventually agreed to: everyone was to pull out of the war and focus on settling their nations before worrying about anyone else. The results weren't going to be pretty, they knew that much, at least. Yet, the only way to go from here was up.

Soon their checklist of tasks were complete, and it was time to return home. Eleven rulers returned to the pod room with their companions, the absent one being Josh. During the night, he and Baachus had gone and disappeared, and Baachus' communication signals went offline. Shrike was angry, of course, vowing to walk every inch of the planet and drag Josh back while swearing up and down. The others seemed to be fine with Josh's disappearance, and left it a problem Shrike had to deal with. Akita stepped up and announced he would do his best to settle conflict in the Rooster Nation until a new emperor is crowned, as his nation is their closest ally.

One by one the rulers settled in their pods with their companions. The other man that isn't Shrike or Raven, they learned to be called Jarad, assisted them all with their journey back home. He released all the pods one at a time, and off each ruler went...going home.

The road in front of them is a long one indeed, but thanks to the help of Rehabilitation...this war was to come to an end.
