Some game info and whatnot: -This game is incredibly time sensitive. There is a strict time limit in place for in-game events, which will be represented in real time. Once the game starts, it will last for a maximum of 10 days (barring time being added for hosting issues or other events outside of my control). Do not join if you will not be active during the duration of the game. I will be available for at least 12 hours each day to process actions (if I am unavailable for an extended period of time for whatever reason, I will adjust the in-game clock as needed). Players should try to be online for at least an hour or two a day. -Players who have less time for this game will have action priority (meaning someone who only has a couple hours will have their actions done first over someone who is online all day. This is only for exploration actions, not attacking actions). -12 player game -No preins -Joins will be done by PM. Game thread will be posted sometime before signups. -This game has deep lore. -Prior to the game starting there will be a pre-game phase. During this phase, all players will be allowed to chat in the game thread while you build your backstories with me. Backstories are important in this game. (The more backstory you make, the deeper the game lore will become). -All players will be given names, ages and genders with their role cards (basically TFW format). Physical descriptions are up to you. Some backstory elements are decided beforehand. Please make personalities that match your backstory events (this is part of why there is the pregame phase). Roles themselves with abilities will only be given once the pre-game phase has ended (but you will be given your wincon). The roles are associated with the characters. -This game has dynamic maps. Meaning that there are no maps in the game thread, but rather every player has a google spreadsheet shared with me to use as their map. When you discover a new area, I will add the area to your map. -The puzzle component of this game is minimal to none. -Most of this game was made in the span of 72 hours (lore concepts were created earlier, but most of the roles and characters were done in a few days and have since just been tweaked for balanced and had some flavour text changed).
You don't need to be active 24/7, just so long as you can check on the game one or twice a day, you'll be fine.
Or course, the more time you have, the more you will be able to enjoy the game by exploring and doing actions.
If you'll be able to be online for an hour a day, you'll be fine (also keep in mind a good chunk of the game happens in the evening, actions are sometimes processed until 1 or 2am EST).
Ultimately it's your choice to make based on how active you think you'll be.

Spoiler:This game will feature completely custom roles made by YOU! The role guidelines are as follows:
- Role name and quote. - Every player will receive six predetermined stat increments. You may assign these to your stats as you wish. - This game will be using the stats from NST. - One passive ability. - One active ability. - One basekit item. - Wincon.
These can be whatever you want. I am not promising balance, with roles or game mechanics; this is supposed to be a chill, not serious game (no, really, no NST strings this time, I promise). I will not allow completely OP roles however do be aware that counters to certain abilities are not guaranteed, unless you account for them yourself.
In order to speed the game progression along I ask if you are planning on joining to start thinking of role concepts now. You can run these concepts by me if you have any questions. There will be some time post signups for the role creation process, so don't worry if you don't do anything just yet.
Do note, this game has very minimal story outside of the setting. Required puzzles are not featured.

Well shit, it's over isn't it? Humanity finally began to rot and now it's getting ate by it. I guess this is what happens when a generation wishes they were dead. Whatever, there's people out there, we've survived worse. There's twelve right here already, cmon. If pop culture has anything to say about it, once you get past the corpses, the blood, murder and unspeakable horrors everything will work out. But first, you're going to have to get out of here, and get this damn bracelet off.
With a less than forgiving world. Things are desperate, you're going to need people who can actually carry their weight. Otherwise, well, at least they'd better be good bait. Attributes such as these are going to be what anyone worth their meat is gonna be possessing; Cool, Sure, Quick, Hard, Sharp and Weird. Now you might say that these are pretty arbitrary, like I just made these up, but then you can also shut up, nit-picking like that isn't helping anyone in the apocalypse.

Cool - People get shot, people get eaten. The only thing that matters in those situations is how solid can you keep your cool. All the muscle and smarts in the world isn't worth a damn if you're frozen in place. (Do something under fire, subtle moves, dumb shit, and being the baddest.)
Sure -If there's two things that can be counted on it's things break and things will need to be shot. (Pulling the trigger and hitting more than the side of a barn, fixing broken bits, and doing after thinking.)
Quick -They say there's two types of people, the quick and the dead. Maybe it ain't supposed to be taken so literal, but screw it. (Running, jumping, and swinging around like monkey.)
Hard -The world is a mean, ugly, violent place. The best course of action is to take what you want and take it by force. (Go aggro on someone, do combat, and tank shit.)
Sharp -When you're lying there in the dirt about to be finished off what will you think? That you should have known better. You should have paid attention and used your brain for once. It was given to you for a reason, nerd. (Read a stitch, read a situation, and figure out how anything runs.)
Weird -If anyone had a good explanation for humans, you might be in a different place right now. Instead you're here, and things are about to get weird. (Doing even dumber shit, strange powers, and your luck as much as you might be cursing it)

This game is going to be (slightly) different, and will hopefully be up and ready by Wednesday 4 pm EST(Thursday at latest). I'll accept signups Wednesday regardless, just shoot me a PM with a VLDR related title, and a /join in the body. Feel free to include whatever else you want in the body, sometimes it's funny to read while Nelly bugs me about her action of stalking Metrion for the fifth time.
So, yes, the game will be a little different. Let's get into those.
The stats in this game will be:
STR - same as normal, STRONG DEX - same as normal, will impact travel time, FAST END - a mix of CON and WIL, will be used in relation to what those two used to cover (defensive actions and endurance) as well as bodily needs, THICC PER - the same useless stat we all love, SIGHT LUK - new stat. will be used for a core mechanic in this game, as well as having an impact in some situations, NOT ME ACC - you like guns? cool. same as normal, unless your username is Schultz128. If that's the case, this will be rolled for melee attacks as well. AIM
Three new things: travel time, bodily needs, and wishing.
Travel time will be calculated by using the formula 8-dex. I'm not rolling for dex as to somewhat keep my sanity managing all of this, so this will use your RAW DEX stat. This means the shortest it can be is 3, and the longest it can be is 13.
Bodily needs are sleep, thirst, and hunger. END will slow down the degradation of these, or increase if you're in the negative. It will be arbitrary, but in accordance to your END stat.
Wishing is well, wishing. Luck determines if your wish gets granted. Only one will be granted a phase.
So yeah, that's everything. Hosting times won't be the same or consistent, but I can cover most, if not all, timezones so don't be afraid to join if you live in the middle of bumfuck nowhere.

Hello everyone! My name is Noah. I'm the Engineering Ferret here at Zero Business! If you are hearing this, that means you have been invited to test my new Virtual Reality game! I've worked long and hard on this, using data from the S.S. Luxury cruise's bracelet game. After much haha actually who am I kidding planning and testing we can pretend or something the first version of my game is ready to run!

- This is game will be different from the modern VLDR Games. The roles that will be used were made by Aeolian over two years ago, which have so far gone unused. To preserve Aeo's work, these roles will not be featuring stats. Roles will be similar to Supernova-12's as a more recent reference. - There isn't any story, much like S.S. Luxury. However the game is more serious in nature than that. Just so you know. - The game has a soft end date of July 30th. Please be active to keep the game rolling! I will be away from the 31st-4th. If the game is near the end by the 30th, it will most likely have a forced end. Otherwise, if the ending is not close, then the game will be put on pause until I return.
