It's the language of Miami. It should be more than telling that three decent human beings weren't born here and the other's a mob boss. These people don't care, Bella, they're looking for themselves. Roughest part about being an optimist is other people. They can't even recognise long term self interest - just what's immediate, what's the fastest.

These people are broken, Bella. And yet, here we are. I had a feeling it would go this way. I voted ally in recognition of this fact. It wasn't Shino that forced my hand or anything - I sincerely believe he wanted me to betray. I did it because it's not what matters to them. It's what matters to yourself. And that's to fucking sappy for my tastes, so I won't beat the dead horse. But it's better to go to your grave having meant something to someone - even if it is in naivety - then to be known as someone from Miami.
