The Eastern Bloc and Western Reformists are, at their core, political parties.

They have since expanded their influence to become the dominant force in half of what was once a large, prosperous nation.

An event 50 years ago caused a schism which led to this split.

Why they chose to have such technical arguments written is something I do not know.

I did not read the arguments myself, I was simply to lay them out for the Jurists to read them.

The power plant is to be located on the site of the old government building that burned down 50 years ago.

It's about the only undeveloped piece of land left, and is position is perfect for the plant, or so the sides claim.

I'm not a nuclear physicist, so I can't really comment on such matters.

Each party has their own leader, but you've probably never heard of them.

The rest of the world is largely ignoring the two factions until they can get back together as one nation, but at this point that seems like a pipe dream.

I will save my conclusions for the end of the conversation, Parka.

Okay. Then why have any of this? The plane, the delays, the weird security checks. That doesn't align with the stated goal - or at least, it's so over the top to serve as a red flag more than anything else. If this is meant to be secretive, it is not particularly covert.

Mags, why- why would you, just straight up ask him why this is shady. Mags. What.

Why? Why not. I don't see the harm in it - I've already outlined my reasons, Percival. At least, I hope I did in an understandable way. This is... more of a demonstration. If I was convinced that we were at risk, I wouldn't have opened up this line of conversation.

No, it's uh, gonna be alright, Percival. They might just stop the experiment entirely when they... you know, realise that the basics haven't held up any longer. If not... then it's still good information to spread to people. Either way, just don't be afraid, alright?

Secretive?

No, this tribunal is no secret.

Think of is as being moreso ... isolated, or moderately discreet.

Outside interference would be bad, especially with how much tension exists between the two factions at present.

In fact, there is so much tension that the two sides refused to even meet each other in court, claiming that the other side would hire assassins or perform acts of sabotage.

You’re kidding, right? This... this isn’t even believable any longer. Not that it was to begin with, but please drop the act. The story’s got enough holes to end up on the market.

Do you really expect any of us to buy it? Anything you’ve said? Mull it back over. It’s a nonsense song. There’s no point in any of this.
