Weather Man

Neutral Choas

You are a deranged magician who believes he has supernatural foresight.


Attack: Basic
Defense: Basic (or was it none???)

Abilities: Predict who will die each night.

Attributes:
-At night you make predict a player to die
-If they would have died they are given an invincible defense
-If they would not have died they are dealt a basic attack
-Once you have completed your goal you can still vote but no longer can do your ability at night

Goal: Make 3 successful predictions

Win Conditions:

Town
Mafia
Arsonist
Serial Killer
Survivor
Vampire

this is your chance to change the name and lore lol do it i like it this role alot

rename it to something like augur or something to do with predicting the future

it was basic attack , Powerful is unfair to NK

Ok thanks, Ill change the attack.
As for the name augur no one really knows what an augur is. , but some ideas I'm considering would be the Fortune Teller, Wizard, Prophet, or Banshee.

Please comment on which idea you'd like the lore to be changed to, or if you like it as the Weather Man, then say Weather Man. The other options are Fortune Teller, Wizard, Prophet, and Banshee

Perhaps Clairvoyant? Also, you spelled Neutral wrong (in the alignment).

If played properly this role Helps town more then scum and isnt very impactful or needed for the game

i view this role has neutral killer and doctor at the same time both sides can can use you to kill people or use you to save them which is why i like this role so much since its goal isn't to kill everyone it can be used by both sides


true if this role is played perfectly it will just save 3 people from death but its very hard to play this perfectly though in my opinion if this role guesses wrong it kills the person which town won't like

a game lasts 6-8 days so this role cant afford to not predict a death a night if it isn't sure who will die so usually it will kill people which will make town mad and want the role dead

I think fortune teller works.

I dont think neutral chaos is a good alignment, I would suggest switching this to Neutral (Benign)

It needs to have a reason not to screw over the game, right now it has that ability but doesn't care about the whole mafia vs town vs nk game going on

Well yes, when I said it should be switched to Neutral (Benign) I'm implying to take out the killing part.

lore wise it make sense why you kill the people who wouldn't of died if you predicted they would die then they didnt you would be called fraud and loses your business so you kill yourself so your prediction becomes


only problem is why would you heal someone you predicted would die and then do die for heal why save them if it makes your prediction true, healing them wouldn't make sense

perhaps the client believes your prediction and buys an expensive charm of protection from you and that's why the survive the attack?

LOL im stickler for lore making sense it prolly doesn't even matter but yea

Fortune Teller is an extremely cliched name though. I would change it to Clairvoyant.

One question, does invincible immunity mean that you can be lynched but not attacked?

This role seems like a good idea, but there are a few flaws.

First, if the fortune teller decides to start guessing from the start of the game, most likely he gets it wrong and someone dies, making the town/mafia want to start attacking/lynching the fortune teller. If the fortune teller waits until later (4 or 5 people left), chances are he gets it right, but in which case the immunity being dealt out is too strong and would mess up game mechanics. In addition, I feel that 3 is an incredibly unrealistic goal, as the probabilities are very, very low.

Maybe give the fortune teller night immunity as well

invincible defense means just for night there is no role in the game that is unhangeable even pestilence can be hanged

alright, thanks for clearing em up. My ToS knowledge and terminology is very very outdated (I haven't visited the forums in like 2 years) but I still feel like the success of this role is very very unlikely

No one said the mafia would be okay with you stopping them from getting 3 kills.

What kind of sane mafia would allow you to do that :/

Why would the mafia team up with you? You'd be healing the people they would be trying to kill.
