Estimator (Neutral Benign)

Name: Estimator

-You are a mentally unstable person who is also very skilled in the art of prediction-

Alignment: Neutral Benign

Abilities: Estimate the question given to you and see how close you get.

Attributes: At night you shall be told something (How many people will be dead by morning, how many rbed, etc). The closer you are the more reward you get.

Special Attributes: Control immune, Role-block immune (for guessing, not vests), Bite immune

Goal: Get 2 questions answered exactly in the game

Win Conditions: wins with all once win condition is met

Investigative Results: Invest - Your target keeps to themselves, they must be a Witch, Surv, Vh or Estimator
consig - your target guesses actions at night, they must be a Estimator
Sheriff - Your target is not sus

Additional Information: Spoiler: The Estimator will be asked something and it must estimate how many of that action will happen. Anything from douses to any other night action. If you guess a number that is more than 3 away you have a heart attack and die. If you get it spot on you gain immunity to all (includes arso douse/burn and ww attack, does not include jester and jailor)) that night and a vest for the next one, if you are one off you gain a vest that night. If you are 2 off you gain a vest to use next night. If you are 3 off you gain nothing but you don't die from a heart attack. If you don't guess you will suffer a heart attack and die. Players can still answer questions if in jail.

Example -
Spoiler: Player A (estimator) is asked this (comes up on a box in the middle of the screen) "How many people will die tonight"
Player A has buttons 0 - 15 (15 players alive). Player A selects 2
2 people die, player A was attacked that night but due to being spot on they are saved.
Player A is now asked "How many people will be role-blocked". A guesses 4
Player A has a vest that activates but 1 was role-blocked. Player A is role-blocked and attacked, killing player A.

Sample Text -
Spoiler: How many people will die tonight?
How many people will use a ability on their self?
How many people will use a ability on others?
How many people will be role-blocked?
How many people will be healed by a doctor?
How many people will be investigated?
How many people will be framed?
How many people will be visited?
How many people will be attacked but immune?
How many people will werewolf kill tonight? (if ww night)
How many people are currently doused?
How many people are Vampires?
How many people are Mafia?
How many people are Neutral?
How many people are Town?
How many people are (role)?
(More questions, but not now XD)
Your guess was spot on! You gained unbreakable night immunity and a vest!
Your guess was 1 off! You equipped a vest this night!
Your guess was 2 off! You will wear a vest tomorrow!
Your guess was 3 off....you fear for your life.
Your guess was more than 3 off! You suffer a heart attack and die!
___ was found dead last night. They died form a heart attack.

Rewards (for the blind that didnt see it in additional info) -
Spoiler: Spot on - You gain immunity to all (includes arso douse/burn and ww attack, does not include jester and jailor)) that night and a vest for the next one
1 off - Vest is worn that night
2 off - Next night you will be wearing a vest
3 off - Nothing, but you live.
More than 3 off - you die from a heart attack

Lore: Spoiler: The Estimator had always been alone. She never played with the other children, and hardly spoke to anyone. She had always been shunned, due to her OCD, and her mental instability. To pass the time, she counted. One rock, two sticks, three worms. One hat, two shoes, three scarves. One shots, two shots, three screams. Eventually she began to see patterns and little details. One, no two, two people stitched up, probably the work of two medical Doctors. One hastily dressed man, they were visited by an Escort, possibly. One visibly shaken woman. Perhaps the Sheriff was a bit too rough. The Estimator then started playing a game, a game only she knew the rules to. "It's easy," she says to the wall, "All you do is answer the question with a number! If you get it right, you get a treat! But if you don't, you lose! You don't want to lose, because then you can't play anymore! Losers have to sleep for a long time! Sleep, sleep, sleep!" She had never been that far off a answer yet, never more than 3. She wondered what would happen if she was but she didn't want to find out, just in case.

No night immunity for a NB? Bad.

What's the reward for correct guesses?

Are you a troll? NB dont have night immunity, yes survivor has 4 vests but not forever, amnesiac has No immunity unless it is lucky enough to remember an immune role. Ill edit in rewards soon.

I mean considering this role is completely reliant on these 'rewards', it's a bit stupid to post the role without the rewards existing.

Gambler style roles have been suggested before, however.

My friend is a idiot, he was on my account, the damn rewards are HERE

The Estimator will be asked something and it must estimate how many of that action will happen.

In additional info.

ALL THERE IN BOLD

Not only that on this

Player A (estimator) is asked this (comes up on a box in the middle of the screen) "How many people will die tonight"
Player A has buttons 1 - 15 (15 players alive).

Shows reward saving Player A

Okay, couple of questions

What sort of questions would be asked? You said 'How many people will die tonight?', sure, but how many other questions can you really be asked that can be immediately confirmed the next day?

Also, there's a slight paradox within the role. Say you predict that 3 people will die that night, and Arsonist ignites 3 people including you.

If this count as you guessing right (because 3 people would die), you would gain arsonist immunity and not die, therefore making you having guessed wrong.

This means that 2 people actually died, so you shouldn't get the arsonist immunity. Therefore, you should be dead. But that means 3 people died so you should have been arso immune...

You get my point. What would you suggest happens in this scenario?

Thats the one paradox i can see, so ill make it so there wont be that question if your doused. and the questions are all in sample text (there can be more)

Sounds good to me, and I looked over the questions, looks fine, but in the case of the 'How many ___ are there?', does that refer to how many of them are alive right now?

Other than that, sounds pretty fun

The role is understandable and well-made, kinda like a neutral investigative.

What happens if you earns a vest for the next night but then the next night you guessed it spot on and received a night immunity? Would the vest you earned be wasted or saved for the next night?

And it's luck based.

Not necessarily.

If there is 1 NK and mafia then 2 people die would probably be the answer.

Or another example is if there's a confirmed escort then 1 person would probably be roleblocked.

This is not luck based, rather it is possibility based

Yeah it would require common sense and actually reading chat. unlike a survivor

While the heart attack is kind of odd, I guess it prevents the role from being a Survivor, it actually has to function. Nice idea, but idk about it.

Well it has to die in some way as a penalty for failure. So i decided a heart attack would work as i don't see why you would off yourself over this.

I just wrote this quickly to sum up how I think the Estimator's lore should go:
"The Estimator had always been alone. She never played with the other children, and hardly spoke to anyone. She had always been shunned, due to her OCD, and her mental instability. sh99er wrote:Goal: Survive until the end of the game

So it's just a worse (no vests + possible heart attack) survivor with a mini-game. Change its objective and make it more interactive with the rest of the town, ToS is not a single-player game.
Here is an idea: make the first question special - "Which faction will win the game?", "Who will survive until the end?", or "How many people will be alive at the end?" (or a random out of several possibilities) and make his goal to be right about this. He would then spend the rest of the game supporting his favourite and trying to make his prediction come true.
