Welcome to my second role idea on this forum. I've put a lot of time and effort into thinking of this role and making this thread, so please read it carefully before replying, and be sure to be detailed in your comments if you can. Thanks :)

Name:
Tyrant

Alignment:
Neutral Evil

Role Card:
Summary:
A maniac who enforces his own laws. - Credit to sunbird1002
Abilities:
Go to someone's house and order anyone who visits to do their action on themselves. - Credit to sunbird1002
Attributes:
None.
Goal:
Survive to see Town lose

Win Conditions:
Wins with: Mafia, Serial Killers, Arsonists, Werewolves, Vampires, Witches, Survivors, Tyrants
Must kill: Town

Special Attributes:
Roleblock Immune
Detection Immune
Bite Immune
Order Immune

Investigative Results:
Investigator (v2.1 of orange's results): Your target talks to themselves. They must be a Janitor, Medium, Jester or Tyrant.
Consigliere: Your target wants to rule over the town. They must be a Tyrant.
Sheriff: Your target is not suspicious.

Additional Information:
The technical term for forcing people to target themselves is 'ordering' them. So Order Immune means immune to other Tyrants.
The Tyrant may not visit themselves, unless controlled by a Witch or transported by a Transporter.
When ordered by a Tyrant, some roles get a notification, some do not.
Below is a list that explains how Tyrants will interact with all the visiting roles in the game. Assume all roles get a notification, unless otherwise specified.

Interactions:
Vigilante, Mafioso - Will kill themselves. No notification.
Serial Killer, Godfather - Will attempt to kill themselves, but get the "Your target is immune" message. No notification.
Arsonist - Will not douse target, and will incinerate instead
Werewolf - Will stay at home. Tyrant will not die.
Doctor, Bodyguard - Will use their self-heal/vest and will not protect their target. If they don't have their self heal/vest then they get roleblocked (but still get the Tyrant notification)
Investigator, Sheriff, Consigliere - Will investigate themselves. No notification.
Lookout - Will find out who visits them. No notification.
Transporter - Will transport themselves with their other target. No notification (but they still get the "You were transported" notification.
Vampire Hunter, Escort, Consort, Framer - Will be roleblocked (visiting themselves doesn't do anything). No notification.
Blackmailer - Will blackmail themselves
Janitor, Forger - Will clean or forge themselves if they are killed and have uses of their ability left. If they aren't killed, it will not use their ability.
Disguiser - Will be roleblocked. Does not use up their ability.
Tyrant, Witch, Jailor - No effect, because they are Order Immune. No notification.

Messages:
"You have decided to order people at <player name>'s house to go home." - When choosing a target
"You were ordered to go home!" - When getting ordered by a Tyrant.

Achievements:
King - Win your first game as a Tyrant
Go Home, I Order You - Win 5 games as a Tyrant
Obey Me - Win 10 games as a Tyrant
Supreme Ruler - Win 25 games as a Tyrant

Execution - Make a Vigilante or Mafioso kill themselves
Dictatorship - Order 5 people to go home in one night

Thanks for reading, please comment below :D

I like the concept of the idea, But instead of being a neut evil, it could be a TP. Although the name and abilities would have to be tweaked.
If it stays neut evil, then A better name might be Buzzkill.

I think this role messes with town more than scun though... What change would you suggest?

You're right, Buzzkill has a nicer ring to it

Thanks for the support !!:D

Witch should be bore immune
framer should not recieve a notification
Mafia roles should be bore immune except gf
Serial Killer should recieve the notification

Agreed about the Witch
It wasn't meant to, I made a mistake. I'll change that.
Why? A consig inving themselves or a BMer BMing themselves will tell them there is a Buzzkill. May I ask why you want to make the Mafia bore immune?
Serial Killer not receiving the notification means that it looks like whoever he attacked is immune, but in reality he's just attacking himself but doesn't know it. In the end the Serial Killer writes this in his death note and there's more confusion in the Town...

Thanks for the feedback! :)

Can you explain why you don't think this role should be in the game?

I think he means to work on a backstory. A teenager wouldn't quite work in 12th Century Britain/Storyland (Where is this set?!). Look at the backstories of all the roles that are in game. A sneaky lawyer who changes wills? Yep. A heroic Bodyguard sacrificing himself to protect his fellow town? Yes please. Someone who just talks so much that everyone just does all their actions on themselves. No. He hasn't got a problem with how the role works, but the backstory and the lore is his problem. Carry on with the idea, it's great, but maybe think of a different backstory. Some ideas are: (These are quickly drawn out)

Enforcer
A maniac who enforces his own laws
Abilities: Go to someone's house and order anyone who visits to do their action on themselves

Illusionist
A deceitful mystic who creates tricks of the mind
Abilities: Go to someone house and anyone who visits are fooled, doing their action on themselves

Muddler
A powerful mage who muddles people's thoughts
Abilities: Go to someone's house and anyone who visits would be muddled, doing their action on themselves

Something like that. Hope I helped

Town of Salem is (loosely) based on the Salem Witch Trials in Salem, Massachusetts, USA. (So 17th Century British Colonies)
I personally think Buzzkill is a fine name.

Even if they aren't killed, it still uses up one use of their ability.
^^ should be removed. It hurts mafia too much, and buzzkill wins with them.

Ahhh I see... That's a good point actually.

Yes, this does help :) I will consider these names. Lore isn't my strongest area of a role usually, I just think of a mechanic and find a name that fits. It was a bit harder with this role.

I like the Buzzkill lore, but I agree that Buzzkill wouldn't really be a frequently used word in the Salem Witch Trials.

I'll think about this tonight and may change the name, but I'll see.

I see your point and agree it hurts mafia. My reasoning was that if a Janitor targets a player who isn't killed, it still uses up a use, so I thought I should keep it consistant. But yeh it does hurt mafia so I may remove it

Thanks for the help guys :D

I changed the name to Tyrant, and used your Enforcer summary and ability description (if you don't mind). I gave you credit though :)

I do not mind, and thank you really. Just get my name right. I know I sound arrogant, but I almost died laughing when you said ''Suggested by Sunnier1002' Kinda funny. As I said, I like this role, and the 2 roles you have made so far are unique and great. By the way, Tyrant, great name. I was thinking of something evil, but couldn't think of anything. Thank you for mentioning me, and listening to my idea. Cannot really suggest anything apart from keep up the good work.

OK, let me just say it is clear that you put way more than most experienced players do into this role idea. As it's your second one, it makes it even better because until their 5th role idea, most people's are trash. Some people don't like to see NEs with Witch's goal, but I'm fine with that. You should try to get it into the Testing Ground, it's one of the sub-forums. This is one of the best roles I have seen on the forum and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Hmm I understand it stops evil kills, but (as WindBlqde also said), the Town interactions are much more significant. TPs wasting their self heal, TIs getting false results, Vig killing himself. Overall Town has more visiting roles, so Town is affected the most.

I made a role like this before but not as detailed as this on with the specialised things for each role. But the role wasn't successful because it helped Town (most of Town) and didn't help evildoers even though the role was Neutral Evil. But even though it was focused on helping Town, it also causes harm which no Neutral Benign should do. Don't make this role become this... It's good so far
