A notification saying someone was bribed at the start of the day would help, I suppose, but would be a big nerf.

I'm gonna set up a poll to see if people want them to be notified or not.

I agree that it should be kept in Neutral Evil though, as Mafia Support would make the Mafia too powerful, the same way the Witch would.

I also think it should have the same goal as the Witch "Survive to see the Town lose the game."

Not really. Town already has Mayor. It is basically the reversal of Mayor.

How is it a reverse Mayor?

Because Mayor gets votes, while the Politician stops votes.

He doesn't necessarily "stop" votes, he just takes complete control over votes.

Also, I'm gonna edit the poll to see if people want the Politician to be able to control the vote of a revealed Mayor.

Can you vote for it on the poll? I'm not really going to pay attention to the comments of:
ToS Forumer wrote:Yes. it should.

ToS Forumer 2 wrote:No, it shouldnt be able to control him.

Thanks ^_^

I think you should have limits on how many times they can steal a vote. Then aligning them with mafia support wouldn't be so bad. Like maybe you can only bribe twice?

Bribing only twice would be an EXTREME nerf to this role. So no.

Ok fine, but every day seems to be too much. You could potentially keep stealing the same person's vote, in which case they couldn't do anything.

They could talk. :|
Why would you steal the same person's vote EVERY time? That sucks the fun out of this role, and doing that is completely pointless, unless it's the revealed Mayor then in that case you can vote for yes/no in the poll ^_^

Well, yeah they could talk, but I bet there will be those people who do steal the same person's vote just to be an asshole. Once you find out a town member, like spy or mayor, you steal their vote, and then use it against themselves. I like the idea of this role, but I don't think you should be allowed to continuously do it.

Lots of roles already implemented in the game can do stuff to be assholes xD. Jailor, Vig, Mayor voting someone up for no reason, Doc heal known killing role, Escort rb a confirmed townie.
The list goes on.
And to the Spy/Mayor thing, they can easily confirm themselves.

i like the idea as a whole, but a towny can just say "I'm being bribed don't trust (whoever is trying to get so and so lynched)", said person trying to get a lynch is probably politician

Very valid point, unlike a vig who can claim they were controlled to kill a town member, a gamethrower can easily claim that they were bribed at all times in order to gamethrow.

I voted No-Yes-Yes.

Reasons:

Whether a bribee is notified or not doesn't matter at all, but not doing it adds momentum and mystery to the NE slot, even if it's just for a little while it can swing the game in scum favor in a game that's town favored to begin with.
Bribing a revealed Mayor is not that important for the game now that I think about it, it could go either way but something that instills slightly more thought into Mayor reveals is in my opinion good for game balance.
Guilty/inno vote controlling comes along with the vote controlling package and a Trial phase can sometimes have more impact than a voting phase, so adding it is for the best.

DarthMagnus wrote:i like the idea as a whole, but a towny can just say "I'm being bribed don't trust (whoever is trying to get so and so lynched)", said person trying to get a lynch is probably politician

We do not balance around gamethrowers.

The skill that it would take to use politician with the fact that people are notified when they are bribed, is just such a high skill gap... I don't think it needs nerfs, so I voted No-Yes-Yes.

Scum autovest is the best and most balanced choice for anti-town.

Mace, change the one achievement in your spoiler. It says you can capture the vote of a revealed mayor.

I love this. Fits into NE quite well I'd think. Don't think it should be night immune.
