Yes, but if the nightmarer tries to use its power, then there will be immediate suspicion on the subject of the nightmare. This makes it hard to use its ability to actually help the mafia. Also, if a specific target has a role that the mafia knows about and wants to stop that role from doing anything, then it would be much quicker to attack them. In the bodyguard scenario, if the mafia knows who the bodyguard is, they might as well kill them or send a consort for a one-night stand. One night is all they need to kill the mayor.

I think that this is a very intresting role, and it fits right in to the game.

My change is to call it the Nightmare Lord. Because it sounds cooler than 'Nightmarer'

I'm still a bit worried about logistics. Only use I can see is keeping confirmed doc/BG off of an important target, in which case just shooting the doc/BG would be quicker and much less of a problem later on.

I decide, idk why, to pop back up on the forums, so I decided to visit my role, and I am surprised it is still alive. If you have questions about the role, I can probably answer them in the next week, before I probly leave the forums again.

I totally agree dude, although it has 2 words. That would make it the first role that has 2 words as its name. Also, I kinda don't want to change it just for old times sake, y'know?

Can be very useful, prevent sheriff/investigator from investigating certain people (not a dead giveaway due to leadoffs, can stop doc-bg combo, can stop rbing, but all of this isn't too powerful because it can be giveaways of maf, but not dead due to tricks.

I think this idea is very interesting, although, the Nightmarer can make everyone fear him, thus protecting himself. There is also the fact that he would evoke suspicion if everyone fears the same person and calls it out in chat. He could make people fear the members of the mafia as well, which would kind of be overpowered. Although, if he uses the previously mentioned flaw to his advantage, as a tactic, he could make people believe that someone else is the Nightmarer by making everyone fear him, probably leading to the person in question being lynched.

You know, I actually really like this name, and I kinda want to implement it, but as the Nightmarer is in the testing grounds Im not sure what the process for that would be.

mafia does not accept people with magical abilities, if anything the name needs to sound less magical not more magical

perhaps you threaten a targets life and state if they go near a certain person then the you will kill them in relation for disobeying your ultimatum

basicly stay away from this person your gonna get killed

thats a lore reason for the roles abilities and its not magical at all

If Nightmarer is ever going to change it’s name, it’ll most likely in TG be Blackmailer and we’ll treat it as an overhaul
Plus I would advise you on not changing it’s name, since it’s already universally known as the Nightmarer
